Terrifying argyle cats onT-shirtsundHoodies. Move Minor Standard shirts inLadies' sizes. And so very much more. Today is the last day to get a free Subway posterand sticker set if you spend sixty bucks. Also, and this is a little weird, but also kind of cool, if you're in the 98121 zip code and you order four hundred dollars worth of stuff, we will come to your house and deliver it if you want. Fundamentally Accurate

By from Penny Arcade:
Gabriel is under the weather, slipping in and out of consciousness, and his condition has given him terrifying glimpses into the after-now - but he managed to produce today's strip, even in this prophetic state. I should have asked him to tell me what this Wednesday's comic was, while he was still suffused with future-stuff. That would have saved me a lot of time. The widely recognized and thoroughly enunciated fear is that content is being withheld from releases to sell a la carte after the fact. So what happens when that DLC grows, itself, into a full retail product? ...

There were a few more jinks in reserve. These are aged jinks, comparable to a smoky Gouda. I don't really know what to do with myself when staying at Brenna's parents, as an adjunct, tucked into the curls of nested parentheses. Aside from generating forced syntactical comparisons, I never really know what I'm supposed to do at a given moment - where my actual coordinate in the family hierarchy is. One thing is certain: there are no paints here, and no tiny men to apply them to. It's a grisly state of affairs, but I have taken my solace in ...

Merchandising!

By from Penny Arcade:
As a young man I worked a series of retail jobs at Toys R Us and then Circuit City. With out a doubt the worst day to work was Black Friday. I used to dread having to come in and deal with the insane people who showed up for all the deals. I remember one year at Circuit City we were offering a “free” computer. It was a shitty Compaq and you had to sign up for like four years of AOL to get all the rebates. You’d be surprised how many people don’t read the fine print. When they ...

Poker Night at the Inventory
Posted by News Fetcher on November 24 '10 at 11:00 AM
By from Penny Arcade:
Poker Night at the Inventory is out on Steam now. If playing a game of Texas Hold 'em with Tycho, The Heavy, Max, and Strongbad sounds fun you should pick it up. This was a cool project because it's the first time Tycho has ever been voiced. Hearing him crack jokes with the Heavy and cuss out Max is pretty surreal. Give it a look and let us know what you think of talking Tycho. -Gabe out

These jinks are so hi, you'll need an altimeter. The worst part about leaving for Spokane, aside from the Spokane part, which Good God I don't even like looking at the word Spokane, is that I'm ass-deep in a new obsession and the whole time I'm over there I'm going to be bouncing off the fucking walls. I'd essentially resigned myself to sitting the office Warmachine fetish out, but when I thought about why I had done so, I couldn't come up with anything concrete. I had to parse my assumptions for awhile before I realized that it came down ...

How It Works
Posted by News Fetcher on November 22 '10 at 12:00 PM
By from Penny Arcade:
There's been a rash of new OnLive reviews, based now on the MicroConsole - the standalone bit that hooks directly into a television. You already know what we think of the service itself: impressive technology, but not well suited to every genre. The device itself is beyond compact, very Astro in its profile, dense with capability without feeling crowded. When we were using the service on our Macs at work, though, the novelty was amplified considerably. Batman: Arkham Asylum isn't something we can play in OSX, and it's easy to be forgiving of an experience that is wholly enabled by ...

Slam Bolt Scrappers Naming Rights Auction!
Posted by News Fetcher on November 19 '10 at 02:15 PM
By from Penny Arcade:
I just got a mail from Eitan over at Fire Hose Games, who was kind enough to teach me how to play their game Slam Bolt Scrappers at the last PAX. It's a game full of bizarre dudes, and they're auctioning off the rights to name said dudes, which I thought was pretty cool. (CW)TB

Have you seen the multiplayer for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood? You really, really should. Yeah, sometimes it ends in a pigpile. This is what happens when you trap eight sociopaths in a murder simulator. For every pile-up like the one depicted though, every exacting period clusterfuck, the natural motion of the players in the space will provide ten utterly unique moments. At least. I wouldn't even know what tell you about the single player. I played the last one for something like thirty hours by the end, so I clearly like the formula. Also, I like to accept missions from Pigeon ...

With the kind of pressure I exert in the post for others to donate, I feel a strong compulsion to strike with decisive force. Here's this year's Haul, then, now en route to Newfoundland and Labrador's Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation: NHL 11 (PS3) NHL 11 (360. These seem like good bets for a northern hospital? Maybe?) Donkey Kong Country Returns (This game rules, you'll see.) Nintendo DS Lite, Cobalt & Black (Necessary.) Nintendo DS Lite, Crimson & Black (Same.) Prognostication

By from Penny Arcade:
I keep saying that I'm not going to talk about Kinect anymore, but it's such a comprehensive lozenge of so many ideas that it's kind of irresistible. This isn't even really about Kinect anyway, it's more about its shredding, concentric psychic wake. I said that Kinect would succeed in direct proportion to how much we as a collective entity despised it, which was about fifty percent dark prophecy and fifty percent joke, but at the end of the day (specifically, at the end of ten days) it seems like the weird and frankly unprecedented bullshit happening in my own home ...
