Andras, like Eligos (Cyclonus), also shares his name with a demon:

Robots in Disguise One-Step Patrol Strongarm, Gold Grimlock, and Three-Step Sideswipe Confirmed
Posted by News Fetcher on May 13 '15 at 12:45 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Preorder listings at online retailers have confirmed a few new toys for the Robots in Disguise toyline.

First up is Robots in Disguise One-Step Wave 5, which is set to add One-Step versions of Gold Grimlock (aka the Generation 1 themed one) and Patrol Strongarm to the mix. We've got an idea of what these two look like thanks to listings from the Robots in Disguise app which we previously reported on. This comes via online retailer Entertainment Earth. There's also a One-Step Wave 6, which currently seems to be an assortment that purely repacks older releases - unless some turn out to be as yet unknown redecos, of course.

Second, this time via our sponsor Big Bad Toy Store, we have a confirmation that the Three-Step Changer version of Sideswipe is coming. According to the listings, he is the sole new release in Three-Step Changers Wave 4.

Stay tuned for more upcoming toy news as it becomes available.

Botcon Packrat Mini-Comic
Posted by News Fetcher on May 13 '15 at 12:30 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
The Botcon Twitter feed has shared a one-shot, one-page comic featuring Packrat. Packrat is a part of this year's Botcon 2015 exclusive set - but he was also one of the Botcon 1997 exclusives, using the original Beast Wars Rattrap as his base.

This one-shot comic in the style of the late, great "Transformers Mosaic" strips shows Packrat doing what he does best - scavenging bits of junk for his collection - which in this case includes several artifacts left over from the Beast Wars! It's a fun one-off - check it out!

Takara Designer Review with Yuya Onishi - TAV1 Bumblebee
Posted by News Fetcher on May 13 '15 at 06:45 AM
By Calabask from TFW2005:
Today TakaraTomy brings us a new Designer Review of TAV1 - Bumblebee. In it Onishi talks about their aim to make the new Bumblebee a bit simpler for children, but also having a desire to spice it up a bit as to not be too boring. In addition to talking about the dichotomy of designing toys for Adventure in comparrison to the movie toys such as those that came out most recently with Transformers: Age of Extinction. Overall, the interview is an interesting read and seems to hold hints for what we may see in the future for the line. Check it out and then discuss after the jump!

New IDW Comics App Incoming - Important Message
Posted by News Fetcher on May 13 '15 at 05:30 AM
By Joe Moore from TFW2005:
If you enjoy reading your Transformers comics on your mobile devices or tablets, then you may want to pay attention to his news. ComiXology has released a statement about the current IDW Comics Apps. At the end of this month, May 28th to be exact, IDW will be rolling out an all new set of comic reading apps. These will no longer be powered by the ComiXology platform. But fret not, ComiXology has instructions on how to sync your accounts. From ComiXology:
Quote:
Here’s the important part – to maintain the ability to read your comics on the comiXology platform, you need to register and login to a comiXology account and tap Restore. If you do not complete this step before upgrading, you will only see the comics you purchased with in-app purchases on the new IDW app after updating and you will not be able to read the comics you purchased in this app on the comiXology apps or website.

So to make sure your favorite IDW comics are available here and connected to your comiXology account, just head over to the Settings tab of your app. If you have a comiXology account, just sign in. If you don't have one, you can click on the Create Account button and make one right inside the app.
You can find out more info Here.

Perhaps the most interesting new tidbit is that members of the general public who have paid for general admission will not have access to the incredibly versatile and talented Transformers voice actor Frank Welker. Thanks to TFW2005 member Autobot City Comics 2008 for bringing these FAQs to our attention!

Transformers Collector's Club members who have purchased a Frank Welker VIP Pass along with a Primus or Golden Ticket Package will still be able to meet Mr. Welker.

BotCon 2015 is going on June 18-21 at the Pheasant Run Resort in Chicago, Illinois. Continue to check TFW2005 for future BotCon updates!
