Via the Weibo account of new third party group
Matrix Prime Toys, we have a look at a prototype of a new third party Dinobot Grimlock – except this one is based on Age of Extinction Grimlock. This barrel-chested rendering of AoE Grimlock is also teased to be a combiner – yes, another Dinobot combiner – and he’s also got a rather nice looking dinosaur mode. Check out the images attached to this post.

We’ve got good news for our UK based readers! Combiner Wars Legends Wave 5 is now out at UK retail – and it’s on sale, too, so £6.66 Legends Shockwave, anyone? The assortment includes Shockwave, Chop Shop, Buzzsaw, and Pipes, and are available on the website of
The Entertainer (and presumably by extension in store). Big thanks to TFW2005 member TFtoycollector for the report!

Following up on our report from yesterday regarding the
Taiwan Toys ‘R Us Groove promotion, we’ve received some more interesting images from
TFND on Facebook and
TFCLUB on Weibo. The first set of images from TFND provide CGI renders of Groove in both robot and alternate mode. This style of CGI renders are typical of Hasbro stock images, so many fans are discussing if this bodes well for a future Hasbro release of Groove outside of this Taiwan promotion. That is only speculation though and not confirmed in any way. The second image from TFCLUB shows an actual in-package

Yesterday,
we reported on what looked to be some re-releases of the Transformers Legends Beast Wars figures. Takara‘s Hisashi Yuki has wasted no time in taking to
his Twitter to show off the figures, and their minor color differences. Rhinox, Waspinator, and Rattrap are all on full display here in their robot modes. What do you think of these beasties? Let us know after the break!

Takara designer Hisashi Yuki has once again hit
Twitter to tease fans with another silhouette image of the upcoming and highly-anticipated Unite Warriors Computron figure. Although not the full reveal, this photo does give us another angle with which to see some of the details. Notably, it seems as though a new combiner mode chest piece is confirmed here, something which both Hasbro versions of Scattershot lack. It also gives us another view of the new head and UW Blast Off retool into Strafe. Yuki-san asks us to wait just a little longer for the full reveal, so hopefully

TFW2005 boards member Verno has spotted something interesting over on the
QTransformers website – it seems as though we may be seeing some re-releases of the Transformers Legends (or Generations) Rhinox, Rattrap, and Waspinator figures sometime in the future to celebrate Beast Wars’ 20th anniversary. It should be noted, however, that these do not appear to be straight re-releases, and in fact do feature some very minor color changes to make them slightly more accurate to the TV show. Notable examples include Rhinox and Waspinator lacking the metallic colors and Rattrap having black beast mode eyes rather than red.

From Figure King Magazine and also the latest Beast Wars Anniversary Special video on
Nicovideo, we have our first look at the upcoming Masterpiece Optimus Primal in color! Beast Wars’ own Boss Monkey is looking awesome in these new images, with the look of his robot and beast modes faithfully realized (in the case of munky mode, from the front, anyway – there’s a few robot mode bits showing on the back of the legs). In these images, the Figure King scan gives a good view of both modes, and some smaller images showing accessories and features – it’s

Here’s some interesting news. According to
TFND on Facebook, Toys R Us Taiwan are currently doing a giveway where any spend of NT1,799 will net you a “Combiner Wars” Deluxe Groove. This is a limited edition, while stocks last, kind of giveaway. While the flyers for this one are branded Combiner Wars, it’s worth noting that Taiwan falls under Hasbro Asia, who have in the past released Japan-only molds in Asia. As such, this could actually be an individual release of Unite Warriors Groove, in limited quantities. The images on the flyer seem to support this as they appear
