More Images Of Potential Generations Arcee Repaint
Posted by News Fetcher on May 28 '15 at 10:01 AM
By Matty from TFW2005:
More news continues to trickle in for this potential Generations / Combiner Hunters Arcee, this update we thought was worth sharing. In the new batch of images, from Facebook user Oscar Fung and TFW2005 member daimchoc, we've learned this figure has new hands that look to be 5mm compatible and can hold standard pegged weapons now. Some collectors found the regular release of Arcee to have some slight issues with the way her fists were molded, so this may be a welcome change.

Make the jump to see the mirrored images and be sure to post in the ongoing thread for these potential Generations releases!

Spark Toys Reveals The War Within Optimus Prime Prototype
Posted by News Fetcher on May 28 '15 at 09:45 AM
By Matty from TFW2005:
Thanks to the Facebook page of the Lunar Toy Store, we have a really cool project that was just revealed by Spark Toys. Shown off in its prototype stage is a Don Figueroa inspired design of "The War Within Optimus Prime." The War Within is a six-part miniseries published by Dreamwave Comics in the early 2000's. Some more information from Spark Toys:

Improvements are still being applied to the figure, but this is a very close look at what is to come. Its about the same size as MP-08 Grimlock.

Hit the discussion link below to share your thoughts on this figure and be sure to check out the pics after the jump.

X-Transbot's Arkose Test Shot
Posted by News Fetcher on May 28 '15 at 06:15 AM
By Calabask from TFW2005:
And the news just keeps on coming. This time we have test shot images of X-Transbot's Arkose, their take on Beachcomber, spotted by TFW2005 user daimchoc on Transbridge Omegalock's [URL="https://www.facebook.com/transbridge.omegalock/posts/645221485607905"}Facebook[/URL] page. As seen here this guy appears to be compatible with at least Dr. Wu's Spike and Sparkplug so there may be hope for the MP-10 and MP-22 figures as well! All in all, this piece is looking pretty good, so here's hoping the final product looks just as good if not better when it comes out, which is tentatively scheduled for June. Now, check out those pictures and give us your thoughts on this bad boy!

A new third party group, Voodoo Robots, has entered the scene of unofficial product by revealing what looks to be a masterpiece inspired Ratchet and Ironhide figure. Revealed earlier this week on their Facebook page, we've got a good look at both the alternate and robot modes in the prototype stage, which shows off a very promising take on Ratchet's and Ironhide's G1 silhouettes.

No other information is available at this time, so stay tuned on the forum thread where we'll update you when info surfaces.

Thanks to TFW2005 boards member tomac66 for passing along a new image of the upcoming Masterpiece Road Rage. Road Rage is seen here in a scan from the Future King Magazine in a comparison shot to her G1 figure (who would have thought we'd be seeing this pair of Masterpiece and G1 counterparts in our collecting lifetime).

Clash of the Transformers Legion Two Packs Out in Australia - TRU Exclusive
Posted by News Fetcher on May 27 '15 at 10:15 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Here's a rarity - new toys we knew nothing about until they were found at retail! The Robots in Disguise cartoon toyline seems to be undergoing a mid-line shift to "Clash of the Transformers", and the first releases under this banner are some Legion class two-packs, which are branded as Toys R Us exclusives - and they are already out in Australia.

Via Ozformers member Fatbot, we know that the first two two-packs are: Bumblebee VS Underbite, and
Optimus Prime VS Megatronus

Notably this is so far the only known way to get a Megatronus Legion class toy - though we'd not rule out a wider release down the line.

Rumor: Transformers Spinoff Prequel In The Works? - Transformers One
Posted by News Fetcher on May 27 '15 at 12:45 PM
By Matty from TFW2005:
Last week we reported pretty big news announcing the writers that would be heading the spinoff movie projects for the Transformers cinematic universe. Today Deadline is reporting that Ant-Man writers Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari are the latest writers brought into the brain trust. Deadline goes on to say "one of the ideas in the works has a working title of Transformers One, and that it is more or less an origins story that takes place on Cybertron."

You may recall way back in 2010, we reported news of Hasbro filing a trademark for a certain Transformers One.

More details: "I’d also heard that this might be an animated feature, but that Barrer & Ferrari are also going to the writer’s room with the expectation they’ll write a live action Transformers movie, as well. Paramount insiders said that they haven’t gotten that far on the specific projects, but I am told this is the plan.

Even though nothing has been 100% confirmed, what do you think of this possibility given the evidence we have before us? Hit the discussion link below to join in on the talk!

Repainted Generations Arcee...And Chromia
Posted by News Fetcher on May 27 '15 at 05:30 AM
By Joe Moore from TFW2005:
Thanks to forum member daimchoc, we have more photos of the black repaint of Arcee, which we just shared yesterday. But a surprise comes along in the form of a Generations Chromia repaint. Seeing the two side-by-side, it is clear that they are inspired by the IDW Combiner Hunters comic cover. Still no word on how these will be released.

After the jump, you can see both figure as well as the comic cover that is inspiring these recolors.

Generations Diaclone Skids Update
Posted by News Fetcher on May 27 '15 at 04:45 AM
By Joe Moore from TFW2005:
Earlier this month, we got our first look at an upcoming repaint of Generations Skids. The repaint was similar in style and color to a classic Diaclone repaint of the mold that became Generation 1 Skids. Now, thanks to the New Transformers Archive, we have even more new pics.

In the new images, you can see that the vehicle mode paint apps are different than the previous photos. There are some other paint changes and additions as well. The figure is sporting a wildly different paint scheme on the head sculpt as well as some Decepticon symbols.

You can check out the new images after the jump.
