Clement Soh Photography on Facebook, we can share a few additional images of the Power of the Primes Battleslash and Roadtrap Legends class figures, who unite to form the Duocon, Battletrap. For his outing in Power of the Primes, Hasbro has developed Battletrap’s two components into full-on Transformers in their own right, who then merge into the Generation 1 homaging Duocon. These images give a bit more focus on the individual robots where our previous coverage was focused mainly on the combined mode, as well as showing a couple of new angles on that combined Duocon form. Brendan Cahill has posted the artwork for his retailer exclusive cover to Transformers VS Visionaries issue 3 on his
Twitter. The artwork for this one is quite cool, featuring the reimagined version of the Visionaries wizard character, Merklynn, in a meditative pose channeling his sorcerous powers – and Waspinator copying his pose, though without the energy crackle. It’s always great to see Waspinator get some attention, and this cover shows a side of him we do not always get to see. Be sure to check it out – and also, take a look at
Brendan’s lineart, if you

Toys Alliance are
teasing the third entry into their Mega Action Series. Following on from their Optimus Prime and Megatron figures (the latter set to be released in about a month), Toys Alliance will be taking on Soundwave! Details are sparse so far as all that has been released is an image showing the figure in silhouette with the caption “MAS-03?”, but Soundwave’s silhouette is distinctive enough to be recognizable. It looks like this Soundwave will sport chunky proportions in line with the buff look the MAS Optimus and Megatron received, and it also looks like Soundwave will get

Robo Robo, we have some fresh new in package images of wave 2 Legends Class figures from Power of the Primes. It appears this wave consists of the three following figures: Roadtrip, Battleslash, and Autobot Tailgate. Roadtrip and Battleslash appear to be new molds with designs that are reminiscent of the Geneation 1 Duocon Battletrap. Although their bio on the back of the card reads “Terminate AUTOBOTS with his DUOCON partner BATTLESLASH / ROADTRAP“, it is uncertain if they actually combine into one bigger figure at this

An article from
Glixel on RollingStone.com announces a New Wizards Of The Coast Transformers Trading Card Game In 2018. The article features an interview with Wizards Of The Coast President Chris Cocks who revealed plans for a brand new Transformers themed next fall. The game hasn’t been formally announced yet, but Cocks says it’s a title aimed both at young teens and the collector and toy audience. It will come out in September or October. “We think Transformers are cool and the game has interesting, unique mechanics,” he says. “All cards are two-sided, over-sized and feel bigger, weightier in your hand.” Cocks

Imaginarium Art On Facebook we have our first teaser image of their take on G1 Megatron. Imaginarium Art had announced statues for Optimus Prime and Megatron, and now we finally have a look at the torso of the ruthless Decepticon Leader ready to shoot his iconic fusion cannon. The new stylized design looks great and still recognizable as the G1 character. No available information on price or release date yet. You can check the mirrored teaser image on this news post after the jump and then sound off at the 2005 Boards!

Loopaza MegaStore on Facebook we have scans of the recent Japanese Figure King #239 magazine. This issue brought us images of the POTP Leader Class Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime, Jazz, Slash, Beachcomber, Windcharger and the Prime Masters that will kick off in Japan in coming May. From what we can see from the images the Japanese releases are exactly the same as Hasbro’s US versions. Would this have to do something with the rumors that Takara-Tomy will be globally unifying their brand in 2018? A lot to speculate here. We also get some images of the Infobar Optimus Prime (now

In a week that has seen rumors that Takara-Tomy will be globally unifying their brand in 2018 – whatever that means – we can report that for four toys at least, Takara will be taking some Hasbro molds and giving them a premium paint job. The four toys in question are the Knight Armor Changers in the Transformers: The Last Knight toyline. The four are
Optimus Prime,
Bumblebee,
Megatron and
Grimlock. All four are coming out in Japan next February, with screen-accurate paints and different treatments for the flip out knight helmets. Check out images of

Generation-Toys Weibo we have color images of their GT-10 Optimus Primal to share with you. Generation-Toys incarnation of the Maximal Commander has got a very nice and original design from the doujin artbook (non official) Transformers T-Beast by Kuramochi Zukan Group which take G1 characters into mechanical beast modes. This is the first release based on these designs and GT-11 Sideswipe (bull) and GT-12 Rodimus (Tiger) are coming next. While this is not the final color version of the figure, we can see how detailed and articulated it is, featuring very nice details and homages like the iconic swords that Primal used

With special thanks to
Hasbro Studios who brought us our
first look at Rescue Bots Academy, comes much awaited new info from Transformers: Cyberverse. The first season (Chapter 1) of the show will only consist of 18 Episodes which is quite short compared to Rescue Bots Academy’s whopping 52 episode count. Very much like Rescue Bots Academy, each episode from Transformers: Cyberverse is clocked at 11 minutes (which is usually the average running time for episodes these days.) Plot synopsis: “Bumblebee is on a critical mission where lives are at stake! Only, he can’t remember what it is? It’s

Takara Tomy Website has shared a Supplementary Web Comic for Legends LG-51 Doublecross. The 2-page web comic (or manga if you prefer) features Doublecross, Grotusque and Repugnus but the story is focuzed in the Beastformers, or Battle Beasts as they were known in US. The Monsterbots and Beastformers were protagonist of episode 5 “Rebellion on Planet Beast” in the Japanese G1 “The Headmasters” cartoon.
