week already! Each year we like to count down to Botcon weekend with a look back at the figures we clamor over, and see where they are on eBay
. This year is a year of anniversaries. The Transformers are 30, Botcon is turning 20, and Fun Publications is celebrating their 10th show. But today we will look back at the first 10.
The first 10 years were run by the creators of Botcon, The Hartmans (for the most part) along with 3H for a few. That's a whole other story, we're focusing on the toys here. Early on, there were only 1 or 2 a year, very simple repaints for the most part. As the brand grew, so did the toys. Eventually getting new heads and very detailed paint applications. Below is a list of 1994 - 2004. Check out the figures and see if you can fill in your collection, or just check to see where figures you have are selling!

It saddens us here at TFW2005 to bring you the news that voice actor and legendary radio star, Casey Kasem, has passed away at the age of 88. If you were a fan of the original Transformers cartoon, Casey Kasem provided the voices for Cliffjumper, Bluestreak, Dr. Arkeville and Teletraan-1. He was also known for his roles as Shaggy on Scooby Doo and Robin on the Super-Friends. Outside of voice acting, he was known as the host of American Top 40 and had one of the most prolific careers in radio. Unfortunately, the last several months of Casey's life has had it's share in drama. In October of last year, he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. A disease often confused with Parkinson's. The disease left Kasem unable to speak. On June 12th, his family took him off of life support, and he passed away earlier today.
Our condolences go out to his family, friends and fans. One last long distance dedication from us here at TFW, thanks for getting Megatron dead set in your view finder!Read Replies (0)

Nuke The Fridge had the pleasure to talk with Scott Farrar; VFX supervisor of Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
Mr. Farrar explains that there will be more talking characters (with regards to robots) than the previous movies and the new movie is the start of a new Trilogy.
He also praises Director Michael Bay for the amazing work he did for the movie and tells that they are still working on some scenes that need tweaking. The effects on the new movie are more practical than any other movie Mr. Farrar has worked on. He says that his favorite character is Bumblebee but there are some great new characters.
Here's the best part: Mr. Farrar says that the introduction of Dinobots led them to do some cool scenes involving Flying, Running and Charging. "Instead of characters that turn into Humanoid Robots or Cars, these characters are Humanoids that turn into Dinosaurs."
Finally, he says that they are talking about Transformers 5 and 6 but need to wait and see what happens.Read Replies (0)
