Lorenzo Di Bonaventura Replies To The Critics, Talks About The Plot Elements Of Transformers 4
Posted by News Fetcher on July 06 '14 at 09:00 AM
By SilverOptimus from TFW2005:
Transformers: Age of Extinction producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura spoke to the press recently, regarding the negative critical reception for the movie and also to hint what we might get to see in the upcoming Transformers Live Action Movie Sequels.

"There's a combination of factors" said Mr. Bonaventura. "Number one, critics do not understand this kind of movie. They just don’t understand, they don’t get why people like this kind of movie. They’re evaluating a movie like this, that is meant for mass entertainment on a really epic scale, as though it’s a 1970’s Martin Scorsese movie."

"I kind of figure enough critics don’t see these movies with the audience, is my suspicion. Because if they’re with the audience, they cant help but be affected by what they’re hearing and reacting to."

The producer also talked about the plot elements from the 4th Michael Bay Transformers Movie, how they came to be and how they will affect the future movies. Considering the nature of the content, we are keeping them away from the front page due to the spoilers they contain.

You can read them at Collider, Inquisitr and IGN.

Transformers Universe Rollcage the Decepticon Stock Car
Posted by News Fetcher on July 06 '14 at 01:15 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
A new character for the Jagex Transformers Universe game has been leaked! Meet Rollcage, a female Decepticon who transforms into a stock car! Her design has her change from a black and purple stock car with yellow accents - very Stunticon in our opinion - into a tall, slender robot with bulky gauntlets and boots. Check out the leaked images attached to this post.

Don't forget that Jagex are also running a special weekend of events to celebrate hitting the open Beta launch of Transformers Universe, including double EXP, contests and a 24 hour live stream! Check out the full details here.

Age of Extinction One Step Changer Stinger Released - Walmart Exclusive Found at Target?
Posted by News Fetcher on July 06 '14 at 12:30 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
DarthGzus33 of our sister site the Toyark (a great place to find out about all the other action figure coolness out there) reports that the Age of Extinction One Step Changer Stinger figure has been released.

Stinger is an unusual one - the One Step Changer was originally included in solicits for a mass-retail Wave 3 One Step Changer assortment which did not resemble the one we were shown at Botcon. We since learned that some toys of the Stinger character would be released as Walmart exclusives, and sure enough, One Step Changer Stinger has an "only at Walmart" sticker on him.

Only thing is, DarthGzus33 spotted Stinger here at a Target!

So, misdirected stock, a misapplied store exclusive sticker, or a return from a Walmart in the locality of this Target in Frederick MD? We're not entirely sure - though when we spoke to Hasbro about Stinger toys they said more information would follow at SDCC 2014, so we might have more of an idea in a few weeks time.

Until then, happy hunting everyone!

Transformers Legion Class Strafe, Grimlock and Megatron Figures
Posted by News Fetcher on July 05 '14 at 03:30 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Via Hobbybase on Facebook, we have a look at another trio of Legion class Transformers toys which are being released on the generic "Transformers" backer cards. The original wave of these toys consisting of Bumblebee, Starscream and Optimus Prime were released at Family Dollar and Dollar General stores - we anticipate this new assortment might find a similar release.

The trio of figures in this latest assortment are Megatron, who uses the Universe Legends Generation 2 tank Megatron figure; Grimlock, who is a redeco of Beast Hunters Legion Rippersnapper (but NOT the same redeco that will be a Walmart exclusive); and Strafe, a blue redeco of Beast Hunters Legion Windrazor.

As mentioned, we expect these three figures to appear in stores like Family Dollar down the line - be sure to keep it right here for any future news on these three figures.
