By SilverOptimus from TFW2005:
Calibre Toys has updated their Official Website with demonstration Soundbites for their Transformers: Age Of Extinction Optimus Prime and Bumblebee Talking Coin Banks.

Optimus Prime's voice is clearly from the legendary voice actor Peter Cullen while it's still a mystery as to who voice Bumblebee. The soundbites open up a possibility of Bumblebee talking in Transformers 4. Previous movie toys had Bumblebee talking in his "radio voice" and in an unexpected turn of events, Hasbro even deiced to give Transformers: Prime Bumblebee his voice back after having him talking in an R2-D2 manner for three seasons.

You can hear the voice clips here.
Optimus Prime: *Transforming noise "I am Optimus Prime!"
Bumblebee: *Transforming noise "No one can outrun Bumblebee!" *Guns firing

Transformers Universe MOTA Game Updates
Posted by News Fetcher on March 10 '14 at 03:45 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Jagex have updated their Transformers Universe website with some new Q&A answers on the MOTA (massive online tactical action) game. Some of the main points concern things we had heard previously - such as only ground vehicles being available at launch - as well as how this release differs from Runescape. An interesting point is that the game will feature several sessions on battlefields, each with their own maps, as well as a persistent hub map style area for players to explore, interact with other players and take PVE challenges.

Via Facebook two new characters have also been teased - a former vigilante and a gangsta healer.

Masterpiece Streak repaint to be Silverstreak?
Posted by News Fetcher on March 09 '14 at 09:30 PM
By KidDynamite from TFW2005:
TFW2005 sponsor Captured Prey is reporting that according to their sources, the upcoming exclusive repaint of Masterpiece Streak will NOT in fact be an homage to the Diaclone blue version of the figure as many had speculated, but an all silver version similar to the G1 Bluestreak toy. It is reported to be a lighter shade of silver than that on the first release, and without the black on the hood.

You can see the listing here.

Take this with a grain of salt for now as there are not yet pictures of the final deco, but it's not looking good for those hoping to finally have a version of the fabled Blue Bluestreak.

Hasbro Applies For A New Trademark - Transformers: Robots In Disguise
Posted by News Fetcher on March 09 '14 at 08:00 AM
By SilverOptimus from TFW2005:
We at TFW2005 are constantly on the hunt for exciting news from the Transformers Franchise. Today, thanks to United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO for short) we found out that Hasbro has applied for a new trademark last week.

The new trademark is titled "Transformers: Robots In Disguise" and is categorized under

Video Game

Toyline and Merchandise

The new trademark is categorized under two categories (video game and merchandise) with both of them stating "featuring an animated cartoon series".

Right now, we are in the dark as you are. But, the best thing about Hasbro filing a new trademark is that we will see it in real life in the future… though unable to tell when (Mind you, Airachnid trademark was filed years before we actually saw her on the show).

Stick with TFW2005 as we bring you the best news… first.

Blast From The Past - Transformers 4 Age Of Extinction Filming At The Illinois Railway Museum
Posted by News Fetcher on March 08 '14 at 11:45 PM
By SilverOptimus from TFW2005:
2005 Boards Member RatchetBee had the privilege of witnessing 4 days of Principal Photography for Transformers: Age Of Extinction at the Illinois Railway Museum.

He is sharing with us some cool pics he took while the shooting was taking place. Unfortunately, he can only show us some of the behind-the-scenes photos he took and cannot show the scenes which involved with them.

Illinois Railway Museum acts as a Rail Yard in Texas on the movie and this is what our member has to say:

"Hey guys, I work at the Illinois Railway Museum where parts of T4 were shot and I had the joy of being on set for all 4 days. So being a Transformer fan, I thought I'd share some nice behind the scenes pics. Enjoy!
...
I can tell you that none of our trains will be transforming into anything. A total of 3 action sequences and 1 other sequence were filmed at the museum but in the movie it will appear as if they are in a rail yard in Texas. So perhaps there will be a transforming train in the mix just not ours. They filmed 14 more sequences in the corn fields and side streets around the Museum. The opening scene in the teaser trailer with the Union Pacific train was not filmed at the museum."

You can check out some more info and lots of images from the set at the Thread associated with this news post.

By SilverOptimus from TFW2005:
If you enjoyed the Teaser Trailer for Transformers: Age Of Extinction, you may have noticed all the cool ariel shots (including the Bumblebee action scene) for the movie. Ever wondered how Mr. Michael Bay did those?

For the task, 6K Epic Dragon cameras were used combined with the SHOTOVER K1 stabilization platform. 2005 Boards Member GabrielPrime has received info and images from behind the scenes.

"The SHOTOVER K1 stabilization platform was used with a variety of camera and lens combinations including the new 6K Red Dragon, Angeniuex Optimo 16-42 and Angenieux 50-500 anamorphic lens as well as the IMAX Digital 3D rig.

The SHOTOVER K1 was used for aerials on the biggest movie of summer 2014, Transformers 4! Filmed in China and Hong Kong, the K1 was easily brought in for the shoots as there are no export restrictions on the system and because of the K1’s open platform design, the IMAX Digital 3D system was quickly and easily integrated. Whatever the director wants, the K1 delivers!"
