Posted by News Fetcher on July 28 '13 at 02:00 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
News is reaching us from Summer Wonderfest 2013 in Japan of a series of new licensed Transformers items being produced in conjunction with the 30th anniversary. First up is this Ultimetal series Optimus Prime by Action Toys. It stands 440mm / 17 inches tall, and features diecast, remote controlled light and sound, mouthpiece vibration while speaking, and removable panels to show mechanical parts inside. It's a non-transforming figure, though, and based on past releases from Action Toys, the pricetag is expected to be quite hefty.

Beast Hunters Deluxe Prowl In-Hand Images
Posted by News Fetcher on July 27 '13 at 08:30 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Next up from Tagoal is a look at Beast Hunters Deluxe Wave 5 Autobot Prowl. Autobot Prowl is a reworked version of Wave 2's Deluxe Smokescreen. Prowl gives up the Shadow Quill Armor in exchange for a new head with a Prime-style take on Prowl's head (which seems to draw inspiration from Animated Prowl) and a lightbar. In this fan's view the new deco looks very handsome, and will doubtless be a great "off screen character" to add to any Transformers Prime collection - doubly so if you need a "good cop" to balance out any Auto Assembly Bad Cop Decepticons hanging around!

Posted by News Fetcher on July 27 '13 at 08:15 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Japanese blogger Tagoal has posted up some in hand images of Beast Hunters Deluxe Wave 5. Up first is Night Shadow Bumblebee. This latest version of Bumblebee is a redeco of the Beast Hunters Wave 1 Bumblebee, which means lots of spikes, lots of missiles, and a bow to fire those missiles! This Bumblebee sports the black with yellow-gold racing stripes look that the Autobot scout sported throughout the third and final season of Transformers Prime.

TFW Unreleased Animated Activators Electromagnetic Soundwave Gallery
Posted by News Fetcher on July 27 '13 at 04:00 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Today we want to share with all of you with something a bit special - a toy that never made it to general US retail! For your enjoyment today, we have a look at the never-released Transformers Animated Activators Electromagnetic Soundwave.

Soundwave in Transformers Animated, rather than being a member of Megatron's Decepticons, was a creation of the human genius Isaac Sumdac which had evolved and taken on a life of his own through exposure to the Allspark powered key held by Sumdac's daughter, Sari. The "Electromagnetic" Soundwave was featured prominently in the cliffhanger ending of the season 3 Transformers Animated episode as a gigantic version of the Decepticon. This makes it more ironic that the redeco was used on the smaller version of Soundwave.

As a toy, the deco looks very sharp. The white and teal in vehicle mode go together nicely, and the purple windows give the vehicle a bit of personality. Robot mode adds more black into the mix, which contrasts nicely against the white and creates a unique and fun deco. As far as the toy itself goes, Soundwave is simple to transform, moving between modes in less than five steps, and featuring good all round articulation including elbow and knee swivels, lateral outward movement on the shoulders and full movement on the head.

Overall, Electromagnetic Soundwave is a fun little toy with a nice and different deco. A few have been appearing on eBay lately for reasonable prices, if you are a fan of Animated or a fan of Soundwave, you definitely ought to look into it.

Open the link below for a look at the unreleased Transformers toy goodness!

By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
It has been rumored for a couple of weeks now, but today it was confirmed that the boats S.S. Columbia and S.S. Ste. Clair, which until 1991 ferried people to the amusement park on Boblo Island. The boats are presently moored in River Rouge, Michigan. According to the ship keeper of the Columbia, Sam Buchanan, the Ste. Clair has a prominent role in Transformers 4, and the Columbia a minor one. Buchanan also states the filming has taken place mostly at night, with city officials mentioning that lots of helicopters have been flying around. River Rouge city officials confirm that some filming was taking place on Wednesday and Thursday night. Reports indicate that a second smokestack was added to the Ste. Clair for some kind of stunt or explosion.

By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Whoa, don't worry. This isn't an article at HISSTANK accidentally ending up here.

Director Jon M. Chu recently had a chat with Collider about his upcoming project; G. I. Joe 3. At the interview, the director of G. I. Joe: Retaliation expressed his interest in directing a G. I. Joe/Transformers Crossover.

"[Jokingly] I got to get rid of Michael Bay first" said Mr. Chu. "We got to get there. We got to evolve to something like that. I would love to. As a kid I would combine my toys. If the realities of their worlds match, I think you are okay to do that. I'd love to. I'd be totally ok to do something like that"

Rumors For The Next Transformers Animated Series Surfaces?
Posted by News Fetcher on July 26 '13 at 12:00 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
As the Day-Time Emmy Award winning Transformers: Prime Animated Series comes to an end in mere 4 hours time, rumors of a new Transformer Animated Series has begun to surface. Not very far from here actually… member Potato of Sister Site Tokunation is bringing us some tidbits. You guys can take it under Rumor category for the moment though… but this is what we know so far:

The next series will go back to 2D roots.

Will be aimed more towards little kids.

It will be lot closer to the feel of Transformers: Rescue Bots rather than Transformers: Prime.

Same character designer from Transformers: Prime is working for the next series but the designs are simpler.

Same writers from TFP will return for the next series (This info was proven correct not too long ago).

Please remember this new info will fall under "rumor" until we see evidence. But it's great for a healthy discussion though. Share your thoughts while you are waiting for the finale of Transformers: Prime - Beast Hunters

Transformers 4 Sets in Detroit - Almost Go Time

By Tony_Bacala from TFW2005:
Thanks to a couple of websites, we have some on the set shots of Transformers 4 filming in Detroit. Looks like a beat up Chinatown or Hong Kong. There are subway cars on set marked with Chicago Transit, so this may be a scene which takes place in a now devastated area of Chicago (please see Dark of the Moon for why that is).

Check them all out above, a couple shots of interest after the break.

Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Deadlock airs TONIGHT at 7:30 pm EST on Hub Network. From previews and spoilers previously brought to our attention, it sounds like Hasbro Studios have pulled out all the stops to deliver us a truly planet-shattering finale.
