Posted by News Fetcher on October 06 '13 at 04:45 AM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Transformers: Beast Hunters - Predacons Rising was the Swan Song of the Transformers: Prime Animated Series. It was quite a heartwrenching moment for this newsie; for he was there with the series since its inception.

Transformers: Prime ran for nearly 3 years on Hub Network starting from November 29, 2010. The show was concluded via a TV Movie tilted Transformers: Beast Hunters – Predacons Rising. The movie will be available as a Home Release on October 08, 2013. The DVD will feature bonus footage including an Inside Look of the series. A sample was uploaded to You Tube by Hasbro's Official Transformers You Tube Channel:

For those who enjoyed the series as much as I did, Do not lament its absence; for in my heart, I know that this is not the end, but merely a new beginning. Simply put... "Another Transformation".

James Roberts and John Barber Talk Transformers Dark Cybertron
Posted by News Fetcher on October 05 '13 at 06:15 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Coming this November, the first major crossover of the two Transformers ongoing series Robots in Disguise and More than Meets the Eye kicks off. The event, named Dark Cybertron, promises to shake up the Transformers universe and leave lasting repercussions for the Cybertronians. Newsarama has posted up an interview with the two creators behind this event, James Roberts and John Barber. There is some talk of just what that means for the comics, and a few spoilers for recent Transformers comic stories, including the resolution of a plot point in More than Meets the Eye 21. Two key points to take from this interview though is that if you are not currently a follower of Transformers comics, Dark Cybertron #1 is a perfect jumping on point, containing all you need to know to get yourself up to speed, and also that James Roberts acknowledges that there are thousands of Transformers characters out there - and all of them have their own fans.

Even as Cybertron goes dark, the future for Transformers is bright. Check out the full interview (with preview artwork) on Newsarama.

Transformers Prime First Edition Deluxes including Cliffjumper Back at US Retail
Posted by News Fetcher on October 05 '13 at 04:00 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Multiple reports are coming to us that the Transformers Prime First Edition Deluxes are being found again at US retail. These deluxes were some of the last work of Transformers design team member Eric Siebenaler, and are regarded as some of the best representations of the characters available.

Notably, this release of First Edition Transformers Prime toys includes sightings of the Autobot Cliffjumper at US Toys R Us stores. When the First Edition Transformers Prime toys had their second run last year, the US got the zombified "Terrorcon" Cliffjumper rather than this original version of the character, who was previously only available in Asia, Japan and Canada. This marks the first time that this version of Cliffjumper with his show accurate flip-out arm cannons has been available at US retail. A big thanks to 2005 Boards members Rookbartley and Tracer for the heads up!

Still looking for some of the other First Edition Transformers Prime Deluxes? You might want to start hitting up Ross stores. 2005 Boards member soundwavempl of Bryan, TX reports seeing the Starscream, Arcee and Bumblebee First Edition figures in Ross for $5.99 - a great chance to add these three excellent Transformers toys to your collection for a bargain price.

Kre-O Predaking and Kreon Hound Customization Set
Posted by News Fetcher on October 05 '13 at 03:45 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
By way of a pair of listings on Amazon, we have learned that there are a pair of potential new Kre-O Transformers releases on the horizon. Amazon has placeholder pages up for an Autobot Hound Kreon Customization Set - suggesting further sets are planned beyond the initial six - and a Predaking Attack Set. As yet there are no details or pictures, and these might ultimately prove to be "phantom listings". If however they play out, it means we might be seeing new Kre-O build sets, and that the Kreon Hound, first seen at Botcon 2011, might finally see a release in some shape or form.

Watch this space for further details.

By Shin Densetsu from TFW2005:
The 2nd wave of Transformers Constructbots has started to trickle into stores. JgarOptimus spotted the new wave of scouts(Bumblebee and Thundercracker) meanwhile I spotted the new Elites at a Walmart in Chesapeake VA. The new character in the 2nd wave of Elites is Hound followed by singular releases of Optimus Prime and Megatron. The latter 2 have swap their opaque armor from the Ultimate 2 pack for translucent pieces. However they lack most of the weapons from the 2 pack.

Happy hunting!

Transformers: Age Of Extinction Set Details - New Optimus, New Cars, New Crew
Posted by News Fetcher on October 02 '13 at 07:45 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Michael Bay's Official Website is sharing with us some Transformers: Age Of Extinction Set Images and Set Details. The report is coming from the Admin; Nelson, who visited the Chicago Set couple of weeks ago.

"Michael has a totally new crew for this movie (aside from the DP & the AD). Stunt people & drivers, SFX crew, camera crew, and grips. I guess it goes with the whole "fresh" feel and look of TF4."

He also gave details on the new Optimus Prime Vehicle Mode, regarding how it came to be:

"The truck company for Optimus Prime in TF 1-2-3 never wanted anything to do with the movie franchise. Before filming the first TF movie, the production crew approach the truck company to see if they could lend them 2 trucks. They said no. The producers then found 2 old rusty 1995 models that barely worked and gave them a paint job that got the job done with a very tight budget for chrome and stuff. This time around, Western Star (a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America) gave them 2 new trucks. No questions asked.
Optimus Prime was painted by West Coast Customs."

Sega Letting You Choose The Next Transformers: Human Alliance Arcade Game Trailer

By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
A while back, we got our first look at the upcoming Sega Transformers: Human Alliance Arcade Game. This time SEGA is letting users vote on what ‘trailer’ they want to see next. Each trailer is based on a area in the game, these two areas are England (which you have to like their Facebook post to vote on) and the other is Africa (which you have to share the post to like it.).

Since most Facebook users usually "Like" as opposed to "Share", there is a good chance that we’ll see the England Stage Video next.

For those who missed the first trailer, you can watch it below:
