Site sponsor, Robot Kingdom, has updated their preorder pages and their Facebook page with new in package pictures of the upcoming Generations Voyagers Springer and Blitzwing. We get a good look at the front and back of the packaging for both of the figures. Of interest, the back of Blitzwing's packaging confirms that he will have three changeable faces ala influence from the Animated version of the character.

Also shown are some new images of the Legends two packs of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.

Robot Kingdom notes that these figures are now shipping. So hopefully a full US retail release won't be far behind! We've mirrored the images here for your enjoyment. Click on the title bar to check them out!

Transformers Go! G01-03 silhouettes
Posted by News Fetcher on April 16 '13 at 03:15 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
An image has surfaced which purports to show the silhouettes of the three Japan-only Transformers Go! Samurai. G01, 02 and 03 are new molds with a combination gimmick which allows them to assume three different combined modes. These silhouettes hint at what the individual robots might be - one thing that is very obvious is the emphasis on melee weapons. Check out the alleged silhouette at left.

Michael Bay Talks Filming Transformers 4 With New Audio & Video Technology
Posted by News Fetcher on April 15 '13 at 08:45 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Looks like today is dedicated for Transformers 4 News. Michael Bay has spoken to Collider on an exclusive interview at the Cinemacon regarding various new Technology he will be using for Transformers 4.

"Over the last few years, IMAX has been quietly developing a smaller digital camera with amazing resolution. And while that would be great on its own…the new camera would also shoot in 3D! However, since no one had been talking about it recently, I figured IMAX was stuck trying to get the tech to work and it’d be years before we’d see it in action. I thought wrong. Tonight on the CinemaCon red carpet for Paramount’s presentation, Michael Bay told me he’s going to be shooting the big showcase scenes in Transformers 4 with the new, smaller IMAX 3D digital camera!"

Here's [The Collider] interview with Bay. He also revealed he won’t be shooting in 48fps, he’s excited about Dolby Atmos, and more.

Main points of the interview are highlighted after the jump.

Posted by News Fetcher on April 15 '13 at 08:15 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
More Transformers 4 News from CinemaCon 2013 and more to come it seems.

Michael Bay has announced that Stanley Tucci has joined the cast of Transformers 4 and he’ll also be announcing another cast member name as well.

Mr. Tucci is an Emmy Award winning actor and you may know of him recently as the Scientist Abraham Erskine who "created" Captain America on the movie Captain America: The 1st Avenger.

While we warmly welcome a great actor like Stanley Tucci to our Transformers Family we are also eagerly awaiting the surprise announcement from Mr. Bay. It is said that the next cast announcement is another female cast member.

Transformers 4 Footage To Be Filmed In IMAX
Posted by News Fetcher on April 15 '13 at 08:00 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Greg Foster; the Chairman of IMAX has announced at CinemaCon that Paramount has agreed to film certain footage of Transformers 4 in IMAX.

With this piece of info, we are certain to see certain portions of the movie in non-letterbox format in 70mm. Last time this happened was for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Despite Transformers Dark of the Moon was shown at IMAX theaters, it was not originally filmed in IMAX and was 'digitally re-mastered' to IMAX.

Late March, we also learned that Transformers 4 will be filmed in 3D.

Rumor - New Asia Exclusive Transformers Toy Releases
Posted by News Fetcher on April 15 '13 at 01:00 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Our fellow fans over at the Allspark have got a copy of a listing for various items which are rumored to be coming forward for a release in Asia over the next part of the year. Some are items we have known of for a while - others are new to us, and hard to pin down just what they may be.

The rumored list goes as follows:

Platinum Edition Ultra Magnus (This would be the remolded Weaponizer Optimus Prime with Forge of Solus Prime accessory, shown at Toy Fair)

Platinum Edition Grimlock Vs Bruticus (Also mentioned at Toy Fair, expected to be a six pack containing Generations Fall of Cybertron Grimlock and the five Combaticons)

Platinum Edition Classic Predaking (This one is new to us, but is speculated to be a "premium" Predaking reissue in the same style as the Sixshot reissue from a few years back due to the high cost)

Platinum Edition CNY (Chinese New Year) RID Ultra Magnus (New to us, but the description sounds like a new release of the Robots in Disguise Ultra Magnus toy)

Platinum Edition CNY Supreme Starscream (Another new reveal, expected to be a new release of the gigantic Transformers Cybertron Supreme Starscream)

ACG HK Con Metroplex (Given the price, we anticipate this will be Generations Titan Class Metroplex. ACG HK refers to the Anime-Comic-Game Expo held in Hong Kong - it could possibly be a special edition "debut" release)

Cybertron Con Shockwave's Lab (New to us. Priced similar to Platinum Edition Ultra Magnus, it sounds like it might be some kind of playset or possibly a multipack. Cybertron Con is an Asian Transformers convention, so it is probably a convention exclusive)

Cybertron Con Beast Hunter Optimus Prime (Beast Hunter Optimus Prime is the Ultimate Class version of Optimus Prime with the dragon disc accessory on his back, which matches up with the approximate pricing. Again it may be a special debut edition or other variant for the Cybertron Con convention)

Generations 30th Anniversary Beast Wars Megatron New Images
Posted by News Fetcher on April 14 '13 at 09:45 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
A second eBay auction has been posted, this one giving us some more pictures of the Generations Beast Wars Megatron. A remold of the Fall of Cybertron Grimlock with a Beast Wars Megatron head, we speculate this toy will be a part of the 30th Anniversary Generations series. Once again there are no pictures of the alternate mode - but it looks to be unchanged from Fall of Cybertron Grimlocks - and it is an unpainted test shot, so we are still in the dark as far as which of the different incarnations of Beast Wars Megatron this might represent. Check out the images from the auction, mirrored and attached to this post.

An eBay auction has been posted with more images of the Beast Hunters Megatron. While we've still not got any pictures of his vehicle mode beyond the thumbnail we posted earlier this weekend, these new images give a clearer view of the remolding and additional parts on the robot mode. There is also a clear look at the weapon, a large fish-themed rifle that transforms into an utterly devastating looking sword. We have mirrored the pictures, check them out attached to this story.

To allow as many attendees as possible to add Manuel to their collection, he will be limited to a maximum of one per person, and as with all unofficial third party releases sold at Auto Assembly, he is an adult collectible only available to ages 18 and over. He will also be available to those buying the Auto Assembly 2013 non-attendee pack, which will go live shortly. Preorders for the exclusive toy are available - open link to view.

Robot Manuel X is one of a two-part set and his “spark-mate” will be made available at another Transformers Convention this Summer, which will be announced at a later date.

Auto Assembly 2013 will be taking place over the weekend of 9 - 11 August 2013 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham in the UK. Guests attending include Dan Gilvezan (Generation 1 Bumblebee), Neil Kaplan (Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime) and Steve Blum (Transformers Prime Starscream), as well as comic guests Simon Furman, James Roberts, Andrew Griffith and many more. Find out more, preregister and buy your exclusive Robot Manuel X at the Auto Assembly 2013 homepage!

TFW Beast Hunters Smokescreen Gallery

By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Introduced late in season 2 of Transformers Prime, the hot shot cavalier Autobot Smokescreen is the sixth and newest member of Team Prime. While very much the rookie, he is also a member of the Autobot Elite Guard. He came late enough in the series that, like Shockwave, he did not receive a toy in the initial Transformers Prime line, instead getting his very own deluxe class toy in the second wave of Beast Hunters deluxes, and it is that toy we are sharing a gallery of with you tonight.

The Beast Hunters Smokescreen toy is a love or hate affair. While his design is pretty clever and features a few different tricks to your normal car robot, he ends up with big bits of his car hood on his arms. He also has a deco which is inaccurate to the show. There's not a lack of paint applications, but some details are painted which are not on his show model, while others are missing. But I would invite you to look past these features to a toy which is very poseable and fun to play about with. Smokescreen is a decent little Deluxe toy, and the additional clip on armor is a nice bonus.

All in all, definitely one that is worth checking out - so open the link below to view our gallery brought to you by photo staff member thedrknss48 to see what you think of this toy.
