For our next gallery, it's time to bring on the big guy!
Generations Jetfire is this year's high-end offering in the Generations line, and like Metroplex before him, he stands as a testament to how Hasbro genuinely does care about the fans.
Generations Jetfire is a very faithful update of the original Jetfire / Skyfire from Generation 1. He blends in elements of the original toy with the non-Robotech infringing animation model, effectively transforming from a very Generation 1 fighter jet to a very sharp version of the robot mode from the cartoon. He's a big and chunky toy, with great poseability. For accessories, Jetfire has a missile launching rifle plus detachable armor and boosters (none of which needs to come off for transformation - a great touch). He's also got a visor which can be removed to reveal the original head from the animation model - and when that visor is on, it lines up perfectly with the robot eyes underneath.
All in all, this Generations Jetfire is a great toy who makes a fantastic 30th birthday present to Transformers fans. He is for the moment the definitive version of Jetfire which for us hits all the right notes. Greatly recommended - check out our gallery of almost 200 pictures and see for yourself:

We continue to be surprised with new reveals and features from the Transformers Masterpiece toy line. Earlier this morning we learned even more about
MP Star Saber and now it's Wheeljack's turn to surprise us, which was just recently released in Japan.
Weibo user
ZEUX1S shared with us an interesting reveal when Wheeljack's head sculpt was disassembled, showing off a strong resemblance to the Animated Wheeljack's head design. TFW2005 board member GogDog put together a side by side image of MP and Animated Wheeljack's heads showing what appears to be a mustache on the Masterpiece figure among other shared characteristics, similar to the Animated design.
Coincidence? A nod to Animated fans by the Takara designers? We'll let you be the judge, so hit the discussion link below!

Takara-Tomy have begun to update their website to show off the next few releases in their Transformers Legends line. Swarp aka Swerve, Tailgate and Brainstorm now have thumbnail images on the
release listing for the line, although there's no full images in the Takara-Tomy product catalog - yet.
What we can see from the images are that Swerve and Tailgate both feature some darker colors compared to their US releases - Swerve has a darker maroon closer to his original tone, and Tailgate's teal is also darker. His chest has some silver on it, and there's an Autobot symbol on the torso.
Brainstorm meanwhile has a much more detailed deco - lots more painted details on the torso including some silver on the torso and red and silver on the chest wings.
Keep it TFW for more news as it emerges - we expect Takara-Tomy will release full images of these three fairly soon.
