The uncomparable scribe of IDW's Transformers More Than Meets the Eye has posted on the IDW publishing forums
. In this post he teases a few things regarding next weeks issue of More Than Meets The Eye in which we'll get to see the crew of the Lost Light go head to head with Overlord. If you're familiar with IDW's version of Overlord, you know that what's in store for next will not be pretty. James has provided youtube links to a few songs he's had in mind for the issue for fans to digest or serve as a soundtrack if they choose. Some of the song titles themselves may be considered spoilers themselves, so please proceed with caution!
James has provided the following bits for fans to drool over in anticipation though: Here is this months dialogue snippet: "I really don't know if I can forgive you for this."
One last thing: I plan MTMTE out very carefully, and have done since the start. You know, grand plans and all that. In this issue, for the first time, and in connection with a certain character, I changed the grand plan. When the dust settles, and assuming you're still talking to me, and assuming people want to know, I'll spill the beans.
See you next month for the aftermath.Read Replies (0)

Here is some good news - in an interview with World's Finest
, writer Greg Weisman mentions he has done some work, freelance, writing for the current incarnations of Transformers, Transformers Prime (Beast Hunters we assume) and Rescue Bots. For those not familiar with Greg Weisman, he is an expert at crafting intricate stories filled with characterization and clever twists. You might have seen some of his work in Gargoyles, the Spectacular Spider-Man or Young Justice.
These will most likely be one-shot episodes given his freelance role in the series, but if they are half as awesome as an episode of any of those three series we are in for a treat.

Building upon the intriguing Transformers Go
revelations...we have new info for you thanks to Young Padawan! Previously we had heard that the 3 samurai characters were combiners. Then Young Padawan posted this:The police car is in blue, fire truck is in red and the fighter jet is in yellow. From what i heard from the rep, the difference in price for G-01 is because of lights and sound effects, not due to any particular big disparity in size between the 3 bots. All 3 bots have their own combiner heads and can combine in 3 different combiner forms, looks pretty good.
followed by....Wait til you guys see the the other 3 decepticon combiner bots.
Meanwhile, Gaokaiser pulled out an image from a TakaraTomy event last year
, which while blurry, may actually show the character designs of the new Transformers Go
characters, as Young Padawan pointed out that the yellow/black robot may be the jet samurai.
The plot thickens!Read Replies (0)

It's time for a new Transformers toy gallery for you. In keeping with the impending return of Transformers Prime to our televisions with the premiere of Beast Hunters later this month, we have a look at another one of the Predacons for you. She's a lean, draconic Autobot hunting machine and her name is Ripclaw
Beast Hunters Ripclaw is one of those "love or hate" toys, I feel. Her design is excellent, with nice detail on the wings and a brilliant shape to both modes that gives her a unique silhouette. Her weapon is a "syphon claw", in the style of a Spark Extractor from Beast Machines, and it is kind of cool, as the claws lock open and only snap shut when a button in the middle of the claw is pressed. The bad, though, is that Ripclaw is a bit lacking in the articulation department. She's got nice movement in the legs, but no bicep swivels, and her head is mostly limited to looking up and down, thanks to her collar in robot mode.
Ripclaw's other main feature is her tail, which features a rubberized core. It can be locked into a C-shape or left unlocked to give it a little free movement. It is possible with this feature to put Ripclaw in some cool poses mimicking Ser-Ket from the Rage of the Dinobots miniseries, who shares Ripclaw's design. However, weight can become an issue with the tail in robot mode, making Ripclaw's legs occasionally give way.
All in all though, Ripclaw is a fun toy with a very nice design. She's not for everyone, but what she does, she does well.
