Yesterday at toy show in Vancouver, Canada called
Retro and Relevant had a special guest in the form of fan favorite 3rd party group, Mastermind Creations. Mastermind Creations weren't shy at the event either, they brought along not one, but all five prototypes of their upcoming unofficial Predacon figures, the Feralcons. Most note worthy however, is our first look at the colored Prototype of the core bot of this set, Leo Dux (aka Razorclaw). Thanks to several TFW members, we have a nice little gallery of this figure! Complete with robot, vehicle and comparison shots.
Check out the images after the break and discuss in our
TFW Feral Rex Mega Thread!

2005 Boards member viper2391 shared some pictures of this cool store display from Tokyo's Akihabara district today. This store display showcases the massive amount of sheer awesome due for release in the next two weeks from Takara-Tomy. The centerpiece of the display is the gigantic Generations Metroplex - the Japanese release will feature a chrome face, plus additional paint details.
Looking very small next to Metroplex are the Japanese Generations releases of the Legends two-packs Optimus Prime and Bumblebee - these two and their Targetmaster partners will be a single four pack in Japan and will feature shiny paint.
Last and by no means least, the cool Transformers GT Maximus and the awesome Masterpiece Prowl are on display. Masterpiece Prowl looks incredible, a solid mix of the classic toy and animation model that will doubtless be topping some people's "favorite release of 2013" lists when he hits. GT Maximus sports a great and authentic deco too, mostly in white and green, but with some blue and red details included to recall the look of the original Fortress Maximus on whom he is based.
Check out all the images after the break.

2005 Boards Member ZombieMasterGuy is bringing us a photo of 4 Melee Weapons stored before filming of Transformers: Age Of Extinction at Pontiac, MI.
We currently have no clue as to who would wield these weapons and why. However with this finding, the number of melee weapons spotted for Transformers 4 comes to a total of 5 which includes the weapon carried by the movie's lead actor; Mark Wahlberg.
Our member has also unearthed another info and according to him, one of the weapons belong to a certain Cybertronian who would make a return.
But for now, the mystery of the 5 Melee Weapons remain unsolved.

One of the recent Japan-exclusive releases from Takara-Tomy was a new version of
Ratbat. Released in the Japanese Transformers Generations line, "Senator Ratbat" is a humanoid version of the Decepticon Fuel Auditor, representing Ratbat back in the early days of the Great War when he was a member of Cybertron's corrupt senate. He is a remold of the Generations Scourge toy, using the mold's alternate tooling.
What makes Senator Ratbat so cool is the use of purple. Purple, long the color of nobility, can be very striking on a toy when a nice rich pigment is used and Ratbat goes one better and uses a very attractive metallic purple shade, complemented with blacks and golds. The final look is very imperious, and very impressive, bringing out all of the molds good qualities. The new head works with this, and gives the toy an identity all of its own. In spite of being largely the same as Scourge who he is retooled from, Ratbat has an identity all of his own and doesn't even immediately come to mind as a reuse of the mold. If that is a measure of how good a retooled Transformer toy is, then Ratbat succeeds with triumphant majesty.

On to more serious news from Transformers: Age Of Extinction. According to
sources close to Guangzhou Automobile Group, the Trumpchi E-jet is set to appear on Transformers 4.
We previously received spy photos of the vehicle being filmed and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura mentioning it but this is the first official confirmation of the Trumpchi E-jet’s role on Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
"Product placements with "Transformers" would boost the profile of GAC's car brands both at home and abroad," said one of those close to the carmaker, which has local joint ventures with Fiat SpA, Honda Motor Co Ltd, Toyota Motor Corp and Mitsubishi Motors Corp.
Neither source wanted to be named due to confidentiality agreements they signed in connection with the upcoming film. A spokesperson for Paramount Pictures, the movie's distributor, said the company wouldn't confirm specific brands until nearer the release date. Paramount's local partner, China Movie Channel, declined to comment.
It wasn't clear if the Trumpchi E-jet would be cast as an heroic 'Autobot' or evil 'Decepticon' - humanoid robots that turn into familiar machines and mechanical objects - or have a more limited non-transforming, drive-on role.
One of those close to GAC said the firm wouldn't want the E-jet to be cast in an evil role. Ultimately, casting will be down to the movie's director Michael Bay.Read Replies (0)

Comedian TJ Miller has just wrapped up Transformers 4 and he went over to the Breakfast Television to talk about it.
Mr. Miller talked about how fit actor Mark Wahlberg is and how he is the opposite. TJ Miller also confirmed the name of his role as Lucas. The actor also said Mark Wahlberg told him that his hair smells nice (this is a strange strange interview. people).
Check out the whole interview at
The Breakfast Television. Mind you, he accidentally shouts throughout the entire interview thinking he doesn’t have a microphone.

A while back,
Big Bad Toy Store put up a pre-order for a Super Fire Convoy Reissue (Japanese version of the 2001 Robots In Disguise Optimus Prime). Fans of the line rejoiced as Car Robots and RID have repeatedly gotten the shaft in Hasbro and Takara's Classics/Reissue treatment. However, I am sad to report, it may have just been a pre-emptive move on their part to ensure pre-orders based on rumors coming out of the Asian market. Forum members are getting this in their inboxes (including me):
Quote:
Hello,
The purpose of this message is to inform you that we unfortunately will not be able to fulfill your preorder for product TAK11741 C-001 Super Fire Convoy - 2014 Reissue - Preliminary Preorder. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation has caused. We have recently been informed that Takara will not be producing this product, which is why we are unable to fulfill our preorders. Due to this matter, all remaining preorders have been cancelled accordingly.
Thank you for your understanding during this matter and have a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
BBTS Customer Care
Hopefully one day RID will get some proper reissue love, but today doesn't look like the day.
If you want to check out what could have been, head on over to TFW2005's side project, a labor of love,

Coming off of
yesterday's Club news, we now have our first look at the Subscription Service 2.0 Thrustinator!
The Transformers Collectors Club posted the mock-up of Beast Wars Thrustinator earlier today on their website. Thrustinator, a hybrid of Beast Wars Waspinator and his Beast Machines incarnation, Thrust, is a retooled Beast Wars Second Dirgegun with a new head. Dirgegun's mold has never been made available outside of Japan officially so this is the first international release for this one. In a cool move, the organic portions are patterned like Waspinator, and the mechanical ones like Thrust.
