We're back with another new Transformers toy gallery! Presented here for your viewing pleasure is a look at the upcoming
Generations Armada Starscream, a part of the Generations 2014 Deluxe assortment.
Armada Starscream is, as the name implies, a very nicely crafted homage to the original Transformers Armada Starscream, who was a breakout character with great development in the Transformers Armada series. This version of Armada Starscream is a deluxe, rather than the "Max-Con" Voyager sized original. While he's considerably smaller, Generations Armada Starscream is very well realized - he has excellent poseability that let him strike all manner of awesome poses with his twin swords. Like Transformers Armada Starscream, he also has flip-up missile launchers, they are slightly differently designed on this outing but the end effect is the same - extra shoulder mounted firepower!
I know some people comment on how the swords are now stored in the wings, rather than the wings detaching to make up the swords. In a nice design touch, the wings are ball-jointed, so they can be folded down out of the way when the swords are removed, or popped off altogether if that is your desire.
All in all, Armada Starscream is a great toy and an excellent tribute to the ten year old Unicron trilogy. As a central character in Transformers Armada, it is great that he gets recognition in the 30th anniversary branded Generations series, and it's excellent that the toy is such a perfect update of the original character. He's well worth picking up once he hits stores in the US shortly. Check out the gallery below to decide where he belongs on your want list:

JoBlo had the pleasure of talking to one of the greatest composers of our time; Steve Jablonsky. On their exclusive interview, Mr. Jablonsky mentions how he got into scoring Michael Bay Transformers Live Action Movies as well as the project he’s currently working on; Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
I would argue that TRANSFORMERS was your "he's done it" score. Do you feel that's accurate?
I have heard that before and I appreciate it. Even Hans Zimmer had said to me one day, like, "You realize you have written something that's now part of the culture?" I said, "Wow I didn't know, I didn't actually realize that" but especially coming from him who has done that time and time again.
What was the process of doing TRANSFORMERS like?
I don't know, I didn't even know if I was doing it until he [Michael Bay] called me one day and started talking about it like I was doing it. I said, "oh, am I doing it?" [laughter] And he said, "Oh, yeah what do you think?" [laughter] I thought great. And of course TRANSFORMERS is- I had known about it since I was a kid. My brother was way into it, my younger brother. That was another level of...there is going to be a lot of people looking at this movie.
I wrote a ton of themes for that, I just started writing and writing as much as I could and because I really wanted to...and as Spielberg was involved and I always had that in the back of my mind. I wanted to give them many options, I just remember writing a lot of stuff. I think most of it ended up in the film but the main theme, it's interesting. I wrote this piece that is now considered the main Autobot theme. I just wrote it, it came out and I didn't really know what I was going to do with it.
And Michael picked up on that and Hans came into my room one day he is like that right there saying "that is good." Everybody told me that, that part was good. I didn't realize...I didn't think it was any better than anything else in the score so far.

TakaraTomy is at it again! Thanks to TFW2005 member
catz, we now have a new listing for Transformers: Age of Extinction toys with comments which explain how these will differ from the Hasbro versions.
But that's not the interesting part. The list suggests that we will also have a re-release of some of the best toys from previous movies with new and accurate paint jobs! There's also some new redecos. The list includes Battle Blade Bumblebee, and Voyager Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime. Even Dispensor (Payload redeco) from the first movie with
an actual drink can shooting weapon! It's like a dream come true.
And it doesn't end here, check out the full list after the jump.

The BotCon Twitter feed decided to start dropping some news this morning to kick off a month promising a lot of upcoming announcements for the TFCC, the TFCC magazine, and of course BotCon.
Today the BotCon Twitter revealed the next writers for the TFCC magazine will be
MSipher and
Trent Troop with the prolouge being written by
Jesse Wittenrich and Pete Sinclair.
The story will focus on Protoform X and Transmutate. BotCon also went on to say that
"the timeline the story takes place in is one that has been teased thru other stories, but has never gotten a real good look at, until now." The prologue will also feature the first fictional appearances of Neo-Classic characters from the Beast Era as well as
OLD favorites (who could those old favorites be?).
Be sure to check out

Courtesy of TFW2005 user megatroptimus, we now have in-hand images of two of the toys from the "Upscaled Cyberverse" waves of the Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters toyline, specifically the new
Voyager Optimus Prime and
Deluxe Bumblebee.
As stated at BotCon 2013, these new toys are more or less upscaled pre-existing Cyberverse designs under the concept of having simpler transformations for the child demographic similar to the Fast Action Battler concept. While the toys may not be your cup of tea, check out the photos of the toys by taking the jump.

Marcelo Matere mentions on
Twitter that he has seen the Transformers: Age Of Extinction Dinobots.
"I saw concepts of all the Dinobots. People who like dinosaurs will go nuts with Transformers 4!"
It's not uncommon for artists to see such Concept Art very early, since they will be working on various projects for the movie which includes Box Art and Comic Books.
Mr. Matere is known throughout the fandom as an artist who worked on Toy Box Art since the Unicron Trilogy.
