Transformers Prime Japan Arms Micron Terrorcon Cliffjumper, Soundwave & EZ Collection Images
Posted by News Fetcher on March 28 '12 at 05:00 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Takara-Tomy have updated their online catalog with images of the second wave releases in the Transformers Prime Arms Micron line. The second set of releases includes the Japanese release of Terrorcon Cliffjumper - the first edition Cliffjumper with the alternate head mold as an undead version of Cliffjumper - as well as the sinister Soundwave. Each comes with a new, Japan-only Arms Micron partner. There are some new images here, which show off the toys and their Arms Micron partners - Soundwave is largely the same toy as in the US, just with his additional little scorpion sidekick - while in another turn up, Terrorcon Cliffjumper has gone from being a shiny purple to clear purple plastic - now looking like he is well and truly made from Dark Energon!

Also on the website with this update are pages for the two releases in the Japanese Transformers Prime EZ Collection - Arcee and Bulkhead - though their images (and presumably their toys) are the same as their US versions.

Transformers Galaxy has updated their Facebook page with a picture of what appears to be another 3rd Party Megatron figure. No additional information is provided such as price point or the 3rd Party Group making the figure. No pictures of the robot mode just yet, but the gun mode is very loyal to the original's design. Transformers Prime Dreadwing to be released in Voyager Wave 3
Posted by News Fetcher on March 27 '12 at 01:15 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
A bit of news reaches us now about upcoming Transformers Prime assortments. It seems that the Skyquake Voyager we saw at the San Diego Comic Con last year (pictures attached for those that missed it) is in fact not going to be the first release of the mold - we are getting one based on Dreadwing first. Dreadwing, as established in the most recent episode of Transformers Prime, is Skyquake's twin so the repainting of one as the other was inevitable - and given that Dreadwing is tipped to be a major character during season 2, it makes sense to release his toy first while he is fresh in the mind of viewers.

His assortment, the Voyager / Powerizer Wave 3, will also contain repacks of Bulkhead, Optimus Prime and Megatron. Those of you planning to add the Voyager Class Starscream to your shelves take note - he is packed one per case, and only in Wave 2 so far.

What is the fate of the touted Skyquake version of this mold though? Doubtless the slides were labelled Skyquake to avoid spoiling a season 2 character reveal - but with Takara-Tomy releasing toys of Transformers Prime in Japan alongside the first season, could we see a Skyquake debut in Japan before America? As always, watch this space.

This news comes to you via Full Metal Hero.

By process from TFW2005:
TFW2005 sponsor Robotkingdom has updated their Facebook page with new, in-hand photos of the upcoming MP-11, Masterpiece Coronation Starscream.

This version of Starscream is a remold of the original MP-03 Masterpiece Starscream and features a G1 accurate deco. As the name implies, this version also includes accessories featured during the infamous coronation scene in the 1986 animated Transformers movie: a pair of purple pauldrons, articulated cape and a gold chromed crown. A small, transparent blue pilot is also included to stash in his cockpit.

Robotkingdom's MP-11 stock also includes a commemorative coin, as has been the case with previous Masterpiece figures.

Transformers Prime Voyager Megatron Packaging Variant
Posted by News Fetcher on March 26 '12 at 10:46 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
A minor item of interest for some of you here right now, there is a packaging variant out there for Transformers Prime Voyager Megatron. Check out the picture to the left by mtmte586 - on the right you have the initial release version, with the Decepticon symbol cutting into the box window. On the left is a variant version, with the bar on the right a little thicker, and an additional call-out for the "glowing fusion cannon" gimmick.

For most of you this may be a something or nothing kind of change. But for completists, here's another variant to add to the list of ones to track down guys!
