Energizer Batteries "Transformers Racer" Promotion
Posted by News Fetcher on October 07 '11 at 11:30 AM
By Secretcode from TFW2005:
TFW user Jlogano20 has found a bit of unexpected and nondescript Transformers tie-in merchandise today at a K-Mart in New York. Called "Transformers Racer(s)", packed in with eight packs of Energizer AA Batteries you can also get either a nondescript Autobot car or a nondescript Decepticon car free with purchase. These nondescript cars are non-transforming and are very nondescript in appearance. For anyone picking up batteries, they are still a nice little freebie toy to mess around with.

In other news, my "Word-A-Day" calendar is finally paying off.

CM's Corp Minerva Guttu Kurru Figure Prototype Images
Posted by News Fetcher on October 07 '11 at 03:45 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
CM's Corp have updated their homepage with some new information and prototype images of their Guttu Kurru series Minerva. Minerva was one of three teens to join the Autobots in the Masterforce series as Headmaster Juniors. Minerva is known for her great compassion and being the level headed one out of the trio of herself, Cab and Shuta. This licensed figure from CMs represents Minerva in her exosuit, and comes with three different facial expressions plus her helmet (the final version presumably will have a clear visor over the eyes).

Click on the link above to check out the images of this fully licensed figure from CMs. According to the page, the figure will stand 185mm tall and be released sometime in 2012. Also in the Guttu Kurru series from Masterforce will be a figure of Ginrai - we eagerly anticipate our first look at him!

DOTM Now The Fourth Highest-Grossing Movie of All Time*
Posted by News Fetcher on October 06 '11 at 12:45 PM
By Secretcode from TFW2005:
Thanks to (as usual) Box Office Mojo, we now know that Dark of the Moon has passed up yet another milestone, beating out the final Lord of the Rings movie and has become the Fourth Highest-Grossing Movie of All-Time* with a total of $1,119,112,943.

As the run of the movie begins to reach it's end worldwide as the home release spreads through the various regions and territories, this is probably the highest the movie's theatrical totals will hit. Regardless of how one may feel about the movies, one cannot deny that DOTM has made the history books.

Transformers the Ride New Image
Posted by News Fetcher on October 04 '11 at 10:45 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Universal Studios Singapore have released another new image of the pre-show area from their version of Transformers the Ride. This is the area where you queue up before going on the ride. Judging by the monitors on the wall, there might be some kind of pre-ride show (such as Optimus Prime or Major Lennox briefing guests about what they are about to experience?). The Transformers the Ride blog refers to this as the NEST Orientation Room.
