ROSWELL
ALLEGIANCE: Heroic Gobits
FUNCTION: Warrior / Communications
“I am not trying to prove I am better then you, I am trying to prove I am just as good!”
Profile: Originally a beautiful humanoid, when the Terrorist Gobits nearly destroyed their planet, she was forced to take on the form of a robotic space craft to aid in the war against BIKEMURDER. As the battles raged on, she became a seasoned warrior and trusted solider, so much so that in the absence of CAPTAIN-1 and TURBOLAG, she is left to command the whole Good Gobit army. In a recent mission; ROSWELL and a skeleton crew of bots, tried to find a solution to their home world and universe being wiped out by an unknown cosmic factor; it resulted in ROSWELL having to change her robotic form to match that of the local esthetic in a strange new dimension where everything was “More Than Meets the Eye”. Thanks to the Modifier, a machine from her home universe, she has finally achieved a design, color and body that she is somewhat pleased with, but even ROSWELL feels it could be better.
Abilities: Like all other Gobits, she has the standards of robot mode flight and high powered laser based pulse blasts from her fists. Unique to her design is that in UFO mode she is capable of light speed travel. Armed with her Path Cannon she can fire a short range blast that emits small sized black holes. ROSWELL is always looking to upgrade her weaponry to keep up with the ongoing conflict.
Weaknesses: She always drives to be better and thus some of her teammates feel she pushes herself to her to the point of exhaustion. She also can be a little vain sometimes, as she used to be a very curvaceous and beautiful humanoid and is not pleased with her more current blocky robot body.
TFcon 2013 registration goes online May 1st at 9am.

2014 is bringing us the 30th anniversary of Transformers as well as Transformers 4; and the anniversary celebrations have already begun in the Generations line! First up in this 30th anniversary series we have for you a look at a pair of toys that haven't yet made it to US retail - Legends Class
Optimus Prime with Roller and
Bumblebee with Blaze Master.
Both of these two packs are rather cool little toys. The Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are each approximately the size of a Cyberverse Commander or Scout class toy, and are based on their IDW Comics designs - Optimus from the Mike Costa ongoing, and Bumblebee on his Robots in Disguise design, although with an Earth alternate mode. They have decent articulation for their size, though Bumblebee lacks movement in his head. Their partners, Roller and Blaze Master, are light on transformation - vehicle to robot boils down to standing them up - but they serve as fun accessories to the main 'bots in their two packs. They're effectively Targetmasters with alternate modes, Targetmaster Micromasters if you will.
Overall, these are fun toys. They are simple, but great value considering they include two figures for only slightly more than a Cyberverse Commander. The designs on them are excellent, full of detail and good articulation. Well worth picking up when they hit US retail.

Previously, we
told you about Transformers 4 Filming at Sham Shui Po. On that article a name of a new Chinese actor was mentioned. That was Huang Xiaoming.
Today,
Asian Pop News is reporting a second name along with Huang Xiaoming; that is award winning Chinese actor and singer Chen Kun.
We do not know if they will indeed get a chance to be in the the next installment of the Transformers Live Action Movie Series, but the chances are a bit high judging by the celebrity status of the Chinese actors mentioned above.
Another name dropped is Tong Dawei.

TFW2005:
Dallas News is
reporting Transformers 4 will be filmed in Texas. This is no surprise since Jack Reynor's character is a Texas racing driver. The site also reveals some tiny tidbits.
"No plot has been released for the film, but Mark Wahlberg will star along with Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz. The home of Wahlberg’s good-guy character will be a farmhouse in Pflugerville. Bay has previously said the film will take a different direction with many new actors.
The Austin Film Commission confirmed three to four weeks of filming in the small towns of Lockhart, Taylor, Elgin and Pflugerville.
A large Austin production office opened in March, but location scouting dates to November. There was initial interest in the Circuit of the Americas racetrack southeast of Austin, but instead the Austin Film Commission says the focus is on small towns that remind Bay of Robert Frank’s 1950s photos collected in the classic book The Americans.
In Taylor, 30 minutes from Austin, a police chase will close downtown and a railroad overpass, said Deby Lannen, the city’s Main Street program manager. A car will be exploded in the city’s Robinson Park. “It’s pretty exciting,” she said.
Lockhart’s Caldwell County Courthouse square will be another filming location, with Taylor and Lockhart combined into one fictional town on screen. Robots will chase down the good guys throughout Central Texas including in Elgin."
So, who’s the Police Car going to be? Prowl? Barricade? Just an ordinary Cop Car or some other Robot? You guess…

File this one under "rumor" for now, but the Robot Kingdom preorder page for the
Aga-Con Hong Kong version of Generations Metroplex makes an interesting reference that it is "expected to have SDCC style color".
We have no idea what this could mean - or indeed, what exactly SDCC style color even means - but an informed opinion is that SDCC style color might literally mean "colored like the SDCC one". If this is the correct interpretation of this reference, then it heavily implies we might be getting a special San Diego Comic Con edition of Generations 30th Anniversary Metroplex this July.
Hasbro have yet to officially announce their SDCC exclusives - when they do, we will update our main page with news on what they are.

Good news everybody! It appears that more new Transformers toys have started to trickle out into the US market. Just yesterday,
we reported the spotting of the new Generations voyagers Blitzwing and Springer. Tonight, we have a sighting of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Deluxe Wave 3. Both sightings come from the Pacific North West. This new wave of toys consists of
Autobot Ratchet,
Dreadwing and
Skystalker. These were spotted at a Target in Seattle, WA.
Hopefully these two recent sightings means more figures will be hitting the shelves soon! Click the title bar to check out the photographic proof and discuss your strategy for locking down the latest Transformer toys.

Director Michael Bay was interviewed by Moviefone regarding his upcoming movies; Ninja Turtles and Transformers 4. Mr. Bay had lots to say; specifically how he got into the Transformers Franchise in the first place, how he’s leaving it and redesigning old and introducing new robot characters for Transformers 4.
Well it’s more about how you approach these films, like for example, on “Tranformers,” you already have the built in audience.
See, I was not a fan of Transformers [at first]. Hasbro was talking about giving me a whole Transformers story, and I’m like, “If I can do this really real. If I can make them believable, I think I could have something here.” I’m not a Hollywood guy. My friends are normal guys. I’ve got this guy from Texas. He’s like, “Mike, that “Transformers” [movie] seems like a dumb idea.” And I’m like, “Yeah, I know, but just give it a second.” And then I showed him the shot of the Scorponoks jumping out of the sand with Tyrese [Gibson] running. He saw that image and he went, “I see what you’re doing.” You’ll always have haters, but the last movie? One-hundred-twenty million people saw that movie. There’s still a lot of fans of that franchise. And I’m a huge Transformers fan now, and I protect that brand.
Yeah, because then you’re limited in what you can do and what you can show.
Yeah. You know there are a couple of historians of Transformers. I would do my designs of the robots and they’re like, “What if you just add a little bit more ears to Optimus?” But they’re really hands off. We’ve redesigned them in “Transformers 4,” and there’s some really cool sh*t in it. I’m literally redesigning every character, top to bottom. There’s a reason why they’re redesigned, but it’s also to keep it new and fresh to me. I think the fans will appreciate some of this new stuff we have in the movie and some of the new characters.
I know when you did “Transformers 3,” you were kind of done...
