Rosie Huntington-Whiteley And Michael Bay Visit The Hasbro Toy Fair Showroom
Posted by News Fetcher on February 15 '11 at 07:30 AM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Thanks to Collider, we have some pics of Mr. Michael Bay; the director of Transformers Live Action Movie Series and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley visiting the Hasbro Transformers Booth at New York Toy Fair 2011.

With the pics we can get a clear example of Ultimate Optimus Prime's size.

On our Hasbro Toy Fair Investor Event Coverage, we found out that Bay is to visit the Toy Fair to promote Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It seems as though he brought Carly along with him.

You’ll meet Ultimate Optimus Prime on shelves worldwide May 16th, 2011.

Transformers 3 is hitting theaters on 1st of July, 2011.

Shout! Factory Hints At Takara Collection DVD Releases
Posted by News Fetcher on February 14 '11 at 11:00 PM
By Kickback from TFW2005:
We've been sitting on this story all day waiting for more solid developments to come about, but we've decided to go ahead and post up what we do know about this situation. As a previous update from Brian Ward stated via his Twitter account, he was hard at work on a Beast Wars DVD release. After that initial post, he started up with some interesting hints about another project he was working on:

"Big news re: BEAST WARS yesterday. But that's just one of MANY titles I'm excited to be working on. Anyone speak Japanese? #NotReallyAsking"

"Looking for bonus feature material re: TRANSFORMERS TAKARA COLLECTION. Commercials, etc. Got anything? #DoesntMeanImWorkingOnIt #YesItDoes"

And finally, the last bit of information which has many people believing this is all but confirmed:

"Working hard on the upcoming BEAST WARS and TAKARA COLLECTION sets. But can this really be considered work?"

Some of you may remember when we had the original Transformers animated movie re-released a few years back, it included Scramble City, but with all the audio removed and featured audio commentary instead. The reason the audio was removed was because of copyright issues and royalty issues with using the original Japanese audio. That same logic was behind the idea that we would NEVER see a release of the Takara shows here in the United States.

Are we indeed getting some Takara Transformers on DVD here in the United States? And if so, are we getting original Japanese audio? Subtitles? Surely this revelation brings up more questions than even Brian Ward can possibly answer right now, but stay tuned!

Special thanks to TVShowsonDVD.com for the information compiling.

Possible Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Video Game Poster Revealed
Posted by News Fetcher on February 14 '11 at 06:30 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
After their press announcement, Activision has updated the game Facebook Page with what is likely to be the Official Poster for the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Video Game.

Shockwave is featured on the poster and it is said that he is the main villain of the third (and what is considered as the final) Michael Bay Transformers movie.

The game will act as a prequel to the movie rather than an adaptation of the movie’s story, unlike previous movie games. Developed by High Moon Studios who created War For Cybertron, the game is slated to release in June 14th, 2011.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley And Tyrese Gibson Talk DOTM, Optimus Receives A Parking Ticket
Posted by News Fetcher on February 14 '11 at 06:15 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Both Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tyrese Gibson spoke about the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon on separate interviews.

Although not much was revealed, Rosie’s interview had an interesting tidbit.

"We were told it was for a 'nemesis' role and I left thinking I was awful. The next day I was offered the lead!"

Tyrese talked about the process went into the creation of the third movie.

“It's in 3-D, and this is the first time we're doing [a 'Transformers' movie] in 3-D," he said. "In the first two, we were messing around and playing around, trying to figure out the niche and the energy and the synergy. Michael Bay has gone on the record, as has Shia, the star of the movie, and they've said, 'Listen: we've really figured it out this time. This is the biggest and best 'Transformers' movie of all of them.”

You can read the interviews at MTV and TotalFilm.

Remember Optimus Prime parked near New York Toy Fair 2011? Movieweb is announcing that he has received a $115 Parking Ticket. Optimus, you can't getaway just by saying "My Bad!" this time.

Hasbro is coming big with building blocks, and starting it off with Transformers themed versions. Each contain blocks to build a figure that goes from Robot to Vehicle, and little Kre-on figures, that mimic G1 likenesses (similar to Lego Men, but G1), and humans. Check out some hype for it at Toy Fair. Pics of the inner Kre-O room were not allowed.

Dark of the Moon Leader Bumblebee Pictorial Review
Posted by News Fetcher on February 12 '11 at 06:15 PM
By TM2 D-bot from TFW2005:
Again board member Red leader shares with us new images and his thoughts on the new Leader Dark of the Moon Bumblebee figure:

Now I am a big Bee fan and this guy for me is fantastic, Battle Ops is wicked but this one has more of the movie proportions for me, its not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but its had a good go

First off we will address the size issue, he is small in car mode as you can see from the comparison with Voyager Prime, he does however grow significantly in bot mode and stands as tall as Leader Prime give or take a cm or 2.

The Mechtech is very bulky kids however will love it, it has 3 electronic features which are the main cannon in car mode and the 2 shoulder mounted blasters all of which are activated by simply pressing on them, the whole thing swings in and out on a lever for either bot or car mode. It is a bit heavy for the main figure to carry in bot mode so we left it off a lot of the time we had it for the pictures.

There are no electronics in the main robot at all, he is simply a large action figure and all the bettter for it, he is very poseable with the extending arm cannon and battle mask, the only area he is let down a little on is the legs which can be limited due to the way the knees and hips line up.
