has posted an interview with James Roberts, IDW Publishing's wrtier for one of their new ongoing Transformer titles; More Than Meets The Eye. In this very in depth interview Roberts refers to TF:MTMTE as "an unholy hybrid of Dark Star, Justice League International, Doctor Who and Arrested Development. Heck, you can throw in Magnolia and X-Files in there too. And Community, for that matter. Essentially, MTMTE is what happens when a superhero team book collides with a space opera sitcom
Roberts also goes drops some interesting nuggets of info such as a Dinobot origin story he submitted to IDW, before he began working for the publisher, that almost happened (and maybe one day will!") and after speaking with fellow writer Simon Furman on the upcoming Regeneration One. In which he says Simon hints at a few plans that are up his sleeves that were so good in Roberts' eyes that is blew his mind and made him want to burst into tears, rip up the scripts for the first few issues of MTMTE, roll up his sleeves and think, 'Okay, Furman. Round 2
There is loads more information from James Roberts in the interview that any current fan of IDW Transformers or their Last Stand Of The Wreckers series should definitely take a few minutes to thoroughly read the whole thing. You can do so by clicking the link above or the title bar.

Michael Bay's monster motion picture has scored itself some new shiny trophies in the awards category. The Visual Effects Society recently held their 10th Annual awards ceremony and Dark of the Moon won two out of the five nominations. Dark of the Moon took home the awards for:
Outstanding Models in a Feature Motion Picture: The Driller
Outstanding Created Environment in a Live Action Feature Motion Picture: 155 Wacker Drive
Unfortunately the award for "Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-Driven Feature Motion Picture" went to Planet of the Apes. The VAS prefers Monkey not Trukk apparently! (Yes, I know apes aren't monkeys) Take a look at all the winners here

Earlier today Transformers Galaxy - Hong Kong Fans Group
on Facebook revealed a new upgrade kit from 3rd Party Group, Dr. Wu. This time around, the good Doctor has made a new face for TFC Toys' Hercules
custom figure. This alternate face depicts Hercules "Roaring" in a similar manner to Guido Guidi's depiction of Devastator in All Hail Megatron #11
. Is the face looking familiar to you? It should if you've been following the Hercules Mega Thread as 2005 Board member G.I.Eddie created a custom piece that's very similar. Dr. Wu has even sited G.I.Eddie's work as their influence.
Take a look at the images after the break and share your thoughts in our new 3rd Party Discussion forum

As we greatly value our TRANSFORMERS fans and consumers, we appreciate the opportunity to clarify and explain the current situation with TRANSFORMERS PRIME First Edition figure availability in the U.S.
We very much apologize for the miscommunication with our great retailers in the U.S. Regrettably, as a result, the TRANSFORMERS PRIME First Edition Wave 2 Deluxe, Wave 1 Voyager and Entertainment Pack figures were posted for pre-sale in error. Final product was not produced for these figures to ship within the U.S. As such, any consumer who placed a pre-sale order with Big Bad Toy Store or Entertainment Earth in the U.S. received a note that their order had been cancelled and these orders will not be fulfilled. While it is common for Hasbro to cancel production and/or shipment of collectible figures prior to being listed for pre-sale, this particular situation was unique. We deeply regret this circumstance and understand your frustration.
We would also like to express that we hear the fan community in the U.S. loud and clear – you want these specific TRANSFORMERS PRIME First Edition figures. While we can’t confirm anything at this time, and the format in which these figures are packaged and distributed may change, the team is looking into ways to make these available at a later date in the U.S. and will keep the fan community and our retailers posted as opportunities develop. We want to make this right, and making these figures available to the U.S. fans is a top priority for the team. We greatly appreciate your understanding and ongoing enthusiasm for the brand and hope in the mean time, you enjoy the TRANSFORMERS PRIME figures that are hitting shelves now and in the coming weeks.
