Target Exclusive Dark of the Moon Voyager Starscream Loose Image
Posted by News Fetcher on March 06 '11 at 02:00 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
A new image of Dark of the Moon Voyager Starscream has surfaced on Ebay. This time out, it is a loose picture, showing off a clear look at this Starscream's robot mode. He's a much darker gray this time out, with some nice red highlights on the exposed sections of his chest. The tattoos are in a lighter, metallic color, which offsets nicely against the darker gray. Check out the image by clicking on the thumbnail to the left.

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Toyline Advertising Campaign Has Begun
Posted by News Fetcher on March 06 '11 at 12:30 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Looks like Hasbro has started promoting their upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon Toyline.

TFW2005 Member fallen_revenge is sharing with us a video clip, where we get to see Hasbro sponsoring Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2011 with an image of Voyager Class Optimus Prime in a starry background.

Take a look at the 0:21 mark to see the advertisement. With just 27 days to go till KCA 2011, we’ll probably see Transformers 3 Toy Advertisements frequently on the television. Since Hasbro is a sponsor… Yep, we’ll see DOTM Toy Ads pretty much throughout the entire Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2011 show.

Any chance of an actual Movie TV Spot at the awards?

Dark of the Moon Deluxes in Package and Leader Ironhide in hand
Posted by News Fetcher on March 06 '11 at 07:00 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
b-o-t of ACToys has relayed some images of the first assortment of Dark of the Moon Deluxe toys in package. Front and back images are present of Crankcase, Roadbuster and Ratchet, and there's a front of package image of Bumblebee only. Ratchet's back of package image is too blurry to make out the bio, although there's enough clarity to read Crankcase's and Roadbuster's - some of the information in them might be considered spoiler-ish!

There's also an in-hand truck mode image of Leader Class Ironhide, bizarrely hauling around a cigarette packet, although you can use that to get an idea of the truck mode's scale. Click on the link above to see all of the images.

Dark of the Moon Shockwave in Package
Posted by News Fetcher on March 06 '11 at 07:00 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
nihaohuwen of Yahoo Japan auctions has listed an auction of Dark of the Moon Voyager Class Shockwave in package. The back of the package lacks the bio (it's on the side as with Reveal the Shield), but the arm cannon is referred to as a "Particle Wave Blaster" which sounds like a suitably logical choice for Shockwave's arsenal. Check out the images by clicking on the link above, or read on for our mirror.

Dark of the Moon Sentinel Prime Test Shot
Posted by News Fetcher on March 05 '11 at 01:30 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Here's something we don't see all that often anymore - a test shot for an unreleased Transformers toy! Lately, all those leaked factory samples have been near finished articles - but here is one from earlier along the production line, which is used to work out what plastic color each part of the toy should be molded in. Ebay Seller icetwin65 offers up this test shot of Dark of the Moon Sentinel Prime. The red leader was brought to our attention by none other than Red leader of our 2005 Boards. Check out the auction by clicking on the link above.

Stealth Force to be Released in Japan and more information on Robo Fighters
Posted by News Fetcher on March 05 '11 at 12:45 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Cybergundam's blog has updated with some new information on Transformers items coming to Japan in May for Dark of the Moon. First up is confirmation that Japan will also get to enjoy the Stealth Force line, probably because it is being used in the film in some degree.

Second, there are some images of the Robo Power Robo Fighter figures. Nothing too shocking here, except there is confirmation that these mini-Powerbots all have some kind of transformation in their bodies to deploy even more guns. I'm quite partial to the idea of Ironhide getting shoulder launchers to go with his arm cannons!

Lastly there are some images of the "Transformer Battle Masks" which look similar in style to the Cinemasks that are getting released in the US, except these are full face masks, and the visors seem to be on the outside. I'm also unclear on if they function as 3D glasses, or are just cool masks for kids to wear.

Check out all the images by clicking on the link above. According to the page, this is all hitting Japan on May 14th, which appears to be the worldwide release date for Transformers Dark of the Moon merchandise.

Headrobots Gyro Revenge of the Fallen Whirl Head a Megatoyfan Exclusive
Posted by News Fetcher on March 05 '11 at 12:15 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
We've got an update on some of the upcoming, highly anticipated releases from Headrobots. First up is the Gyro set for converting Revenge of the Fallen Whirl into a more Generation 1 styled version of himself - dare I say considering Generation 1 Whirl's look it could fit in with Classics? The update here is it is a Megatoyfan exclusive, and it is up for preorder now, priced at $35. I'm informed the stock is limited and the piece is selling out fast!

There is also an update on the Big Bad Toy Store exclusive Alternate Universe Hothead - the custom Wal-Mart Headhead set based on Headhead's look in the comics. It's been slightly delayed as some improvements are being made to the modeling on the lips. Last but not last, the Blood the Dark Warrior set - the Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Class Bludgeon custom upgrades - are progressing well with testing on the chrome.

Dark of the Moon Sideswipe New Images
Posted by News Fetcher on March 05 '11 at 03:45 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Ebay seller dj-wiso has posted an auction for the new Dark of the Moon deluxe class Sideswipe. Sideswipe retains his iconic swords - here formed by a single piece of the car bodywork rather than the scissor style transformation of the Revenge of the Fallen deluxe. He also appears to have much less of a backpack, but unfortunately lacks the awesome silver paint of his previous releases.

Russian International Film Market Has Revealed A Trailer From Transformers: Dark Of The Moon
Posted by News Fetcher on March 04 '11 at 11:30 AM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Slash Film is reporting that the visitors of Russian International Film Market this week, experienced several never-before-seen trailers/clips from upcoming movies, including Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

“The CGI looks even better than the two first films [put] together. There are some really innovative visual decisions and the 3D has an amazing quality. There was one kinda big spot with Sam and his new blond girlfriend that helps him get a job. Since everyone cares about her being in this film, from this spot I can tell that she [demands] much of the attention. It feels so [forced] when the camera catches her to show everyone her sexiness when it’s not really needed. Well, yes, she looks sexy, and from that spot she didn’t [show] any emotion on her face, [either].”
