Transformers Dark of the Moon Japanese Title, Logo and Release Date
Posted by News Fetcher on February 26 '11 at 03:30 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
2005 Boards member Masabon has shared with us some information on the Japanese release of Transformers Dark of the Moon. To the left of this text you can see the Japanese version of the film's logo. If you can read Japanese, you might also notice that the title of the film is a little different. Much like how Transformers Revenge of the Fallen was simply Transformers Revenge in Japan, Dark of the Moon has also undergone a very subtle change for it's Japanese release - in Japan, the film will be titled Transformers Darkside Moon, or possibly, Darkside of the Moon. Japanese fans will have to wait an extra month to see the movie though - its Japanese release date is July 29 2011.

Figure King March 2011 Scans
Posted by News Fetcher on February 26 '11 at 03:30 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Scans of the Transformers pages of the latest Figure King are up, with thanks to Toy-World.com.hk. This edition has three pages dedicated to Japanese Transformers releases, and covers Wave 4 of Transformers United (featuring Rumble & Frenzy, Wheeljack, Decepticon Scourge and Laser Optimus Prime). These new scans show Wheeljack has robot mode storage for his wrenches!
There is also a page showing off the first two Japanese Dark of the Moon (called Darkside of the Moon in Japan - thanks Masabon!) releases Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. This is the same image that's been circulating for a while, but is now high enough resolution to see the new weapon on Optimus Prime properly, and also see how the Darkside of the Moon Optimus is the Dark of the Moon Optimus, just repainted slightly.

How A Mercedes Benz E550 Transformed To “Q” Of Transformers: Dark Of The Moon
Posted by News Fetcher on February 26 '11 at 12:00 AM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Internet Automag Eurotuner has posted an exclusive article regarding a certain character from the upcoming Michael Bay movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

The character in question is none other than “Q”. Rumored to be an inventor and a friend of Wheelie, the Vehicle Mode of “Q” is a modified Mercedes-Benz E550.

Eurotuner explains that Michael Bay, contacted Claus Ettensberger at CEC to help design the newest Autobot for the upcoming action thriller.

The conversion included new custom blue paint, which was specifically chosen by Michael Bay to make the character stand out. The CEC enhancements incorporated a custom aerodynamic kit with a front spoiler, side skirts, rear apron, trunk spoiler, fenders, suspension and exhaust system. The stock wheels were replaced with CEC C725 forged wheels (20x8.5” front, 20x10” rear) and Michelin PS2 tires (245/30R20 front, 285/30R20).

The article also contains an upclose look at the vehicle mode.

More Hints Regarding A Linkin Park Song For Transformers: Dark Of The Moon
Posted by News Fetcher on February 25 '11 at 12:00 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
More info has surfaced regarding the rumor of a Linkin Park Song for Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

We first heard the rumor thanks to TFLAMB. The info was quickly followed by a video posted at You Tube where Mike Shinoda saying that they haven’t developed a song exclusively for Transformers 3. But, that doesn’t mean they can use an already completed song for DOTM (Linkin Park’s “What I’ve Done” was used for Michael Bay’s Transformers 2007 in a similar fashion).

Now we have with us a recent interview with Chester Bennington of Linkin Park thanks to lptimes.com.

LPTimes: Are you working on the soundtrack for Transformers: Dark of the Moon?

Chester Bennington: I don’t know if I’m at liberty to tell you yet [winks]. But it looks promising. I think we go hand in hand with those films. A lot of our younger fans call us the Transformers band.

Brian Goldner on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Dark of the Moon
Posted by News Fetcher on February 25 '11 at 11:30 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
In a brief interview with MTV Movies Blog, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner shares his thoughts on how Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is fitting into the void left by Megan Fox's departure from the Transformers live action movie franchise. In addition to this, he comments on how Rosie's character acts as a "catalyst to the action" of the new movie, and teases a bit by mentioning some amazing characters from Transformers lore would be showing up, such as Sentinel Prime - so are we also going to see some other big names beyond him and Shockwave? Only time will tell - but we've yet to find out the identities of some of the characters we know are in the film like the Ferrari Italia, so who knows?

Our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store have put up a listing for a cool new reproduction item - reprinted Generation 1 1984 Tech Spec Cards! This reproduction set is so much more than simply a photocopy of the original tech specs, though - they are completely remastered, digitally recreated from the ground up and feature super clean high resolution artwork as well as having some elements, like the coding that obscures the power levels, done consistently across the whole set. Most interesting of all is that certain artworks have been adjusted to better match the actual toys - so Bluestreak's artwork is silver like the toy instead of blue. These are due to arrive in March 2011, with a preorder price of $34.99. Head on over to Big Bad Toy Store to view the preorder listing!
