Peter Cullen & Frank Welker; the iconic voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron, sat down for an interview with
MTV.
How have you guys been enjoying working together on the current season of Transformers: Prime?
Cullen: I gotta say it’s just a wonderful pleasure to be able to see Frank again and to work with him. We’ve reincarnated our glory days of Transformers and picked up where we left off. And it’s a riot.
Welker: Well, I will second that and working with Peter’s always a treat—we never quite know what’s going to happen from day to day, but it sure is great to see each other and reestablish old ties. You know, we have this rivalry of good and evil going back and it’s just fun to do battle with someone who you just like. [both laugh]Read the entire article at

Some more new third party product images have been posted over at Toys Pie. First,
from Dr Wu, is an image of the prototypes for their Universe Hound Gun and Ravage missiles. These are coming in at least three versions according to the picture, a silver set, a black gun / white missiles set, and a set of blue gun and blue missiles, probably for the Botcon Turbomaster with Shattered Glass Ravage.
To one side, there's also a City Commander head. Coincidence, or are Dr Wu carrying on their trend of new heads / faces for FansProject armors...?
A separate thread shows off a PVC figure of Season 3 and Headmasters human sidekick Daniel Witwicky. Unlike the official SCF PVC, this Danial is rendered in his 2006 jumpsuit (I don't remember seeing kids wearing them back then...) This Daniel Witwicky is scaled to be roughly knee-high against Classics Rodimus - which is about as in scale as a human PVC character is ever going to be.

Proving that it's not just Transformers Dark of the Moon that is picking up the awards nominations!
Transformers Prime has received a nomination for "Best Kids Animated Series" in the
2012 Kidscreen awards. Transformers Prime is running against Rated A For Awesome and The Amazing World of Gumball. The winners of the awards will be announced on 9 February 2012.
Can Transformers Prime scoop up another award and win recognition as the quite frankly awesome series that it is?

The buzz might be all about Transformers Prime toys and this big chap named Hercules lately - but Dark of the Moon is not yet done! The Wal-Mart exclusive Cyberverse "Ultimate" Gift Set has been quietly popping into stores all over the place (so quietly we're not exactly sure when or where it first popped up...)
The set consists of recolors of Autobots
Optimus Prime,
Powerglide,
Sideswipe and
Bumblebee, all of whom stand united against the lone Decepticon
Crowbar. Perhaps the "Ultimate" in the set name refers to the scale of the beating Crowbar's going to get?
Keep up to date with the latest new findings in your area in our
Transformers Sightings board.

Chinese BBS site
Toys Pie (great name!) has uploaded some images of a new Classics Bumblebee customisation kit. These replacement heads convert a Classics Bumblebee into Bumper or Hubcap, and are a suitable alternative if you are not able to get the Renderform versions for any reason. They are by a new third party group called MGS.
Also on the link are images of a KO version of the Perfect Effect God Sword / Matrix Blade - are not even unlicensed third party products immune to being knocked off? Apparently not as rumors abound about KOs of FansProject Causality Insecticons and
even the Maketoys Battle Tanker being passed off as the real deal.
