Rumor - Linkin Park’s Burning In The Skies For Transformers Dark Of The Moon?
Posted by News Fetcher on January 10 '11 at 07:30 PM
By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
It’s been a while a rumor got some attention. Can’t blame, with all those toy leaks… there was no chance for a rumor to survive… everything was solid with facts (psst… we even learned the true identity of a certain Mack Truck. Talk about spoilers eh?).

So, let’s turn the Rumor Mill. TFLAMB is reporting that an anonymous source is saying that Mr. Michael Bay (Director of the Live Action Transformers Movies) has chosen another song from the hit rock band Linkin Park for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. This time from their latest album “A Thousand Suns”. The song in question is “Burning In The Skies”. Many TFW2005 Fans speculated that this song is a good choice for Transformers 3.

Dark of the Moon Impala Wrecker Vehicle Image
Posted by News Fetcher on January 10 '11 at 02:15 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
An image has appeared on Yahoo Japan Auctions for the Dark of the Moon Impala Wrecker. Unlike the previous images that we saw, this one is in full color, representing a closer to final version of the toy. Also visible is a mech-tech weapon on the roof which appears to have flip out blade weapons, although the masses of weapons on the movie car are absent - rendering this toy closer to the actual car without "extreme" weapons add ons.

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Green Impala Toy Image

By NIBMRatchet from TFW2005:
Thanks to an auction at Yahoo Auctions, Japan, we now have our proper look at Transformers: Dark of the Moon Green Impala Wrecker (#88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Slot Car).

Earlier leaked Prototype images clearly shows the car armed with weaponry. But in this image it seems to be in a “normal” state. In fact… a robot in disguise (Don't mind the Mechtech gun on top).

Transformers Vault Minor Update
Posted by News Fetcher on January 08 '11 at 01:45 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
A small update for those of you looking forward to the upcoming Transformers Vault book. There has been a change in title for the book, or rather, a subtitle has been added. The title now reads Transformers Vault: Showcasing Rare Collectibles and Memorabilia.

The title clarification seems to reflect that rather than trying to cover the vast breadth of all things Transformers, the book will instead focus on the toy and collecting side of our hobby, with a skew toward the rarer items. Will it rival the excellent J. E. Alvarez Transformers books on the same subject for variety of content and depth of information?

Hearts of Steel Insecticon Train Custom Images (not MMC)
Posted by News Fetcher on January 08 '11 at 07:00 AM
By TM2 D-bot from TFW2005:
A user on fellow toy board Actoys has shared images of a Insecticon figure rendered in the Hearts of Steel style. This is not the version that will be released by Mastermind Collectibles but a completely unrelated custom piece made using a 3D printer for a college project. Shrapnel seems like a faithful rendition including a Insectrain alternate mode (front section), which seems to indicate Bombshell & Kickback will be next. Click above to view all images.
