Transformers Generations to be released in Japan as Transformers United
Posted by News Fetcher on September 20 '10 at 11:15 AM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Some great news from Red leader of our sponsor Kapow Toys. He reports that the popular Transformers Henkei line, the series that the Classics and Universe 2.0 toys were released under in Japan, will be returning in December. Renamed Transformers United, the line will see the Transformers Generations line get a Japanese release. Ten releases are known so far, and the information we have received from Red leader suggests that they will also have metallic paint jobs. Whether this is in the style of the chrome on the past Henkei releases, or something more like the Takara-Tomy Transformers Animated releases remains to be seen.

Last time, I teased that I'd be bringing a more enticing question to the board - so here it is - which Japanese Transformers series would you like brought to the North American shores?

CDMW-12 Master Commander Power Parts Revealed
Posted by News Fetcher on September 16 '10 at 01:00 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
CrazyDevy recently posted a teasing image on their website advertising that their twelfth release would be something called the "Master Commander Power Parts", with no further hints to what it might be. Speculation ranged from everything from an upgrade for Powermaster Optimus Prime to armor for Masterpiece Ultra Magnus.

Well, wonder no more. Site sponsors Big Bad Toy Store have put up a preorder for the enigmatic Power Parts set 12, and with it comes an image. It can be revealed that the Master Commander Power Parts are nothing less than a new Master Sword for the one and only Fortress Maximus! In the Japanese Headmasters cartoon series, Fortress Maximus wielded a huge sword, and his Japanese toy came with an additional sword accessory to represent this fact. But fans have long been denied the pleasure of having their Fort Max slice Scorponok in half with a gigantic sword. Well, this piece, measuring 520 mm (about 20 1/2 inches) long is an expensive solution to the problem, but it comes with the added bonus of being more show accurate than the original sword as well.

By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
The first answers from the latest round of Hasbro's Transformers Q&A are filtering back to various sites and with it some news on upcoming Transformers releases.

First of all, there's news on a new Walmart Exclusive two pack. We knew about both toys that we suspect are involved, but here is the confirmation, as posted in a response to CoolToyReview - Walmart will be getting two exclusive Transformers Movie series Two Packs, each containing a Voyager and a Deluxe. Images have already surfaced for the first, containing Starscream and Mudflap. The second which we've suspected for a while contains Ironhide and Bonecrusher. Granted, we don't know which Ironhide and Bonecrusher toys these might be - but we've seen images of an unknown blue Recon Ironhide and an unknown Battle Damaged Bonecrusher. Could these be destined for the same two pack?
