First Looks at Robot Modes for BotCon 2010 Slicer & Double Punch, New Look at Oil Pan

Thanks to 2005 Boards member S250, the first looks have surfaced for the robot modes for BotCon 2010 exclusives Slicer and Double Punch.

Slicer, an Energon Downshift repaint, has a purple molded Autobot logo on his chest but a Generation One-style Decepticon logo on his vehicle door. Thus, it is currently unknown is this character is supposed to be Slicer or a Shattered Glass version of Wheeljack.

BotCon 2010 Custom Class Figure is Generation 2 Sideswipe

Via their BotCon Twitter account, Fub Publications has announced that the BotCon 2010 Custom Class exclusives is Generation 2 Sideswipe. This figure will be exclusive to the lucky individuals who got their registration in early and made it into the limited-sized classes that will be held over the next two days.

War For Cybertron Short Story Explains How Bumblebee Lost His Voice

MTV Movies Blog has posted an exclusive short story from Transformers: Exodus author Alex Irvine that provides the story regarding how Bumblebee lost his voice. The short story further provides a tie-in between the War for Cybertron and movie canon.

Hasbro's Official Transformers Website was updated to give a little free gift to those who purchased Transformers: War For Cybertron DS.

According to Hasbro if you would enter the code 9871, you can unlock Decepticon Ramjet in Multiplayer Mode.

Hit the Title Bar or the Image to take a look at what Hasbro says about unlocking Decepticon Ramjet via the image titled "EXCLUSIVE CHARACTER UNLOCK".

Our sister site Cybertron.CA reports that the first wave of Hunt for the Decepticons Activators have hit Canadian retail sooner than anticipated. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron toys have been sighted at a Walmart in Ontario.

Transformers 3 To Film In Detroit In August

Freep.com has posted an article saying that the Transformers movie franchise will spend part of this summer in the Motor City.

Transformers 3 plans to film in metro Detroit in August, according to Gabriela Gutentag, a spokeswoman for the movie. Filming there is expected to last two to three weeks.

Several locations — including Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and overseas locales — will be employed in the latest edition of the popular action series from director Michael Bay.

Artist Marvin Mariano to attend TFcon 2010

TFcon is happy to welcome artist Marvin Mariano to TFcon 2010. He designed Beast Machines Obsidian along with multiple other characters for Mainframe Entertainment. Additionally he has worked on Hasbro packaging design and Armada, Transtech, the Transformers Movie and Transformers Crossovers.


TFcon 2010 will take place July 17th and 18th in Toronto. Special guests include David Kaye - the voice of Beast Wars Megatron and Transformers Animated Optimus Prime, Mark Ryan - Transformers Movie Bumblebee and Jetfire, Derrick J. Wyatt the Art Director and Lead Character Designer for Transformers Animated, Hasbro Canada and artist Dan Khanna with more TBA. Colored Version of Guido Guidi's Drift #3 Cover

A day after we reported the line art for Guido Guidi's cover to IDW Publishing's Drift #3, IDW Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall has posted the color version on his RyallTime blog. The colors for the cover are done by Chris Perez. Drift #3, with story by Shane McCarthy and art by Alex Milne is due out in October.

Transformers: War For Cybertron has finally been (officially) released to store shelves. TFW2005 has received and reviewed the Xbox 360 version of Transformers: War For Cybertron. We are fully aware that the game has hit the streets early in some locations, we feel obligated to share our feelings with those that might be looking for a full length review from a Transformers fans perspective.

Is it a good Transformers game? Is it a good game in general? Should you run out and buy this game right now? You should definitely check out our review if you are on the fence.

Hunt For The Decepticons Activators Optimus Prime Review

2005 boards member tarzen has reviewed Optimus Prime from the Activators subline of Hunt For The Decepticons. This line features the automorphing transformation seen on the Animated Activators, but with movie characters this time around. However, unlike their Animated counterparts which were scout size, these movie versions are the size of deluxe figures in robot mode.

The-Arker has posted new images comparing the upcoming voyager Battle Blades Optimus Prime from Hunt For The Decepticons with its predecessor from the 2007 Transformers Movie line, Voyager Optimus Prime. The new 2010 voyager Prime is a tad smaller in both modes and is molded in brighter plastic.
