Human Alliance Mudflap released at US Retail

The latest addition to the Revenge of the Fallen Human Alliance line has been released at US retail. Human Alliance with Chromia and Agent Simmons was previously reported to be released in a few areas a couple of weeks ago, but now we have photo proof confirmation courtesy of 2005 boards member Zildjian! Mudflap is joined in the case for this new assortment with a repack of the ever-popular Human Alliance Bumblebee.

Transformers Animated Allspark Almanac Volume 2 Cover Art, and the Adventure Continues!

Amazon.com has added three new entries for various Transformers Animated books. The first is the previously announced and listed Allspark Almanac Volume II, which has been updated with the cover art! True to the style of the first volume, the second volume's cover brings together many fun elements of the series, showing Bumblebee, Sari and Wreck-Gar playing with various other Transformers Animated toys!

IDW's Transformers Editor Andy Schmidt Talks Bumblebee #4

IDW Publishing's Transformers Editor, Andy Schmidt, has another video interview on Comics Continuum, this time discussing Bumblebee #4. Within the video interview, Andy talks a little about the final issue of the mini-series, the structure of the Autobots during it, and the struggles of being Bumblebee.

Bumblebee #4, written by Zander Cannon with art by Chee, hits comic book stores this next Wednesday, March 10th.

Latest Edition of TV Magazine Reveals new Transformers Animated Japan Details

The latest edition of TV Magazine (aka Terebi-Kun or TV Boy) in Japan has been released, with a bonus DVD containing further information on the Japanese release of Transformers Animated. The DVD takes the form of an introductory tale told by Optimus Prime, introducing the main characters. Of particular interest are some pieces of information from Masahiko Yamazaki, a marketing officer working for Takara Tomy relating to the series:

- Since Optimus Prime is not the Supreme Commander of the Autobots in Transformers Animated, the series is set chronologically before the live action movies.

Takara Tomy Transformers Animated Website Update

Takara Tomy have updated their website with a selection of Transformers Animated pages! They have opened a section for the toys, which covers the first eleven releases in the Japanese line - Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Prowl, Ironhide (Bulkhead), Ratchet, Cliffjumper, Megatron, Starscream, Blackarachnia, Lockdown and Dirge. They have also opened a section covering the cartoon characters, although presently only pages for the five Autobots are available. The five Autobot's pages include full tech specs, which were absent from their US releases.

Flight of the Bumblebee! 54" Bumblebee kite released at Costco

2005 Boards member Jason Blue Boost found an interesting item at Costco today - a 54" long Movie series Bumblebee kite. The kite is in the shape and design of Bumblebee's robot mode and amongst other things features ripstop fabric, a fibreglass airframe and spintails. It retails for $12.50.

New RPM Remote Control Packaging for Bumblebee Reveals Variant and Upcoming Barricade Item

Hasbro has altered packaging and part of the included items for their Transformers RPM Remote Control line. The remote control Bumblebee is now shipping in a new, longer package that features the vehicle angeled almost horizontal next to the remote control. The remote control is redesigned, no longer featuring molded robot mode bits but rather just an image of the character in the middle of the remote. The Bumblebee vehicle is slightly changed as well, with the Autobot insignia on the hood removed in favor of a small N.E.S.T logo on the side of the vehicle.

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee's Character Models to Undergo Minor Visual Changes for Transformers 3

SciFi Wire has posted an article that features an interview with Scott Benza and Scott Ferrar from Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). Within the interview, the two supervisors from the first two Transformers films talk about the third film. Scott Benza confirms that Optimus Prime and Bumblebee's robot modes will receive subtle changes. They believe that Bumblebee has matured through the first two films and will receive an update to make his physique look more mature, while Optimus Prime's update will make him look more heroic.

War for Cybertron Multiplayer Details - Create your own Transformer Character

3 News has posted a small writeup on Transformers War for Cybertron. Included in their article direct from Activision is information on the War for Cybertron multiplayer mode - including confirmation that there will be some level of character creation in multiplayer!

Complete with several multiplayer modes, Transformers: War for Cybertron allows gamers to play through story missions with their friends in drop in / drop out online co-op, and also create their own Transformers character for competitive head-to-head multiplayer modes, choosing among four distinct character classes, personalising its look and selecting from a huge variety of weapons, skills and abilities.

Strika's consort and the master of the Punch of Kill Everything, shows his optic in TakaraTomy's Animated lineup. Genzhao gives us a gallery comparing this version of Lugnut with his previous Hasbro release. Apart from a more metallic luster on the purple and a different sigil, not much has changed between both and under some lights the colors are indistinguishable.

Now it's everyones favorite Animated Dinobot Commander who has fallen on Genzhao's hands. TakaraTomy's Grimlock rejects the Animated figures color scheme and instead goes for a more Generation 1 inspired hues. The tones are noticeably brighter, especially when placed next to the original Hasbro release.
