Transformers 3 to be filmed in 3D?
Posted by News Fetcher on February 03 '10 at 01:00 PM
By Sol Fury from TFW2005:
Could Transformers 3 be filmed in 3D? With the success of James Cameron's Avatar reigniting a slow-burning flame of interest in presenting films in 3D, it is not totally surprising that Paramount and Industrial Light & Magic are considering the possibility of making the jump to 3D special effects for Transformers 3. Check out this quote from Variety magazine, posted on SuperHeroHype:

Bay's next project is "Transformers 3," and there have been discussions among Bay, Paramount and Industrial Light & Magic about going 3D with the pic. The big stumbling block is the extra time required to do production and visual effects in 3D, as the movie's release date is already set. Having the pic post-converted could alleviate that problem.

By Tony_Bacala from TFW2005:
TFW2005 is kicking off a new section here on the front page, "Featured Video Reviews". Whenever a well produced video review done by you the fans comes across our desk, we will feature them here. They don't need to be of brand new items, or "first looks", they can be on anything under the Transformers sun. Key here is that they are well produced. TFW2005 will review as we see them, and slide them in here when we can.

One of the things that triggered us to do this is the exceptional videos created by one of our sponsors - TFSource. They have been putting together reviews and their newest one is featured below. Check it out, then make sure to discuss it in our Transformers Video Reviews Forum. If you do video reviews, make sure to stop by and post yours for fellow 2005 Boards members to see! Who knows, it might wind up right here!

Slated for release in May to tie in to the release of Transformers Animated in Japan are these Transformers Animated "Battle Wheels". These spinning tops are going to be sold at the same pricepoint as Beyblade in Japan, and will appeal to the same audience sector. There are currently 10 styles planned - five featuring the Autobots, and five featuring the main Decepticons.
