Disney Label Buzz Lightyear - Monochrome Verison Announced

TFW2005 sponsor BigBadToyStore has posted a pre-order page for a previously announced but expected item: Transformers Disney Label Buzz Lightyear - Monochrome Version. Like previous Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck releases, Buzz Lightyear will received a Black-and-White only redeco. The figure is scheduled for a July release in Japan.

Transformers 3 to Film in Gary, Indiana

An article in the Post-Tribune reveals that the Board of Public Works and Safety in Gary, Indiana has approved a filming shoot for Transformers 3 on the Buffington Harbor location of the former Lehigh Cement plant. Leonard Nimoy to Voice Zeta Prime in War for Cybertron Video Game, Voice Actors NOT Confirmed

During a recent visit to High Moon Studios, Ausgamers was able to confirm several of the voice actors for the upcoming Transformers: War for Cybertron video game.

The biggest reveal is that Leonard Nimoy returns to Transformers, providing the voice for Zeta Prime. Leonard Nimoy was the voice of Galvatron in the Transformers: The Movie animated film from 1986. Also confirmed is actor James Remar as the voice of Megatron. James can currently be seen on television shows such as Flash Forward and Dexter. Doug Parker also returns to Transformers, providing the voice of Starscream. Doug voiced Starscream in Beast Wars along with voice Terrorsaur. He voiced Tidal Wave in Transformers Armada and Transformers Energon, as well as Mirage in Transformers Energon upon Tidal Wave's conversion.

Parry Game Preserve has received their answers from the first round of the 2010 Hasbro Transformers Q&A. Of interest is the answer to their question regarding if there was a repaint of the upcoming Transformers Generations Drift planned. Hasbro responded with:

Botcon 2010 Generation 2 Spark Image Gallery

A new image gallery depicting the only previously shown Botcon 2010 figure: Spark, has appeared on Photobucket. Spark's color scheme is clearly based on Generation 2 Pyro, while he reuses Universe/Henkei Inferno's mold. Even though he loses his gun emplacement, he still has a spring-loaded missile launcher and probably no GPS.

Transformers: Cyber Missions #4 Now Available At Hasbro's Official Transformers Website

We've told the Transformers Fans almost a week back, that Transformers: Cyber Missions #4, #5 and #6 were out to the public.
But the #4th episode was only available to Canada at that time.

Now, Hasbro has released the Cyber Missions Episode #4 for the rest of the world to enjoy.

TakaraTomy has updated their official Transformers website with news regarding an upcoming exclusive giveaway at Toys 'R Us Japan. EZ Collection (Legends-class) Optimus Prime Clear Red Version, a repaint of the Legends-class Animated Optimus Prime figure in transluscent red plastic, will be given to as a free gift to those spending at least 3000 Yen on Transformers Animated on one receipt. The promotional campaign starts April 24th at Toys 'R Us stores in Japan.

While Hasbro was unable to provide an answer to one of our questions, the other answer they provided contains some pretty exciting news. Via our Q&A question, Hasbro has confirmed that Transformers Animated Deluxe-Class Rodimus Minor and Ironhide Cybertron Mode will be released as a Toys 'R Us exclusive this fall!

Today's Featured Ebay Auction is for an Pre-Production Optimus Prime G2 Pop Up Card from seller thethingsifind. This was part of a "pop-up" card set that was included with various figures, in this case G2 Laser Rod Optimus Prime. This pre-production version shows the template and how the cards were assembled.

Marvel Transformers Crossovers Human Torch Repaint and Punisher Cancelled

The AllSpark has received a response from Hasbro regarding a question asked in the official Marvel Q&A session regarding the status of two Marvel Transformers Crossover figures.

Only seen at San Diego Comic Con 2009 and packaging cross-sells on recent Crossovers releases, the Q&A officially confirmed that the blue Human Torch repaint and Punisher have both been cancelled.

TakaraTomy's Unite for Universe Optimus Prime and Megatron Officially Delayed

A few days ago, a rumor surfaced that TakaraTomy's Unite for the Universe Optimus Prime and Megatron were cancelled following Toys 'R Us Japan orders being cancelled for the items.

Japanese online retailer Red Mercury has confirmed that the items are not cancelled, just delayed. Instead of a June release, Optimus Prime and Megatron will now be released in the August to September time frame.

The Hub to Launch on October 10, 2010

Discovery Communications has announced that The Hub, the joint venture channel between Hasbro and Discovery, will launch on 10/10/10 - October 10, 2010. The channel will launch with some Hasbro-developed programming, such as My Little Pony...

...and a little show called TRANSFORMERS. The new Transformers show will air in "post-school" afternoon block called Kids Prime.

Board member Deceptigtar has gotten his hands on an upcoming Hunt for the Decepticons Voyager Class Night Ops Ratchet. He has shared with us a complete robot and vehicle mode gallery including some against his nemesis Deluxe Class Revenge of the Fallen Lockdown.
